Wisconsin "Cheeseheads"

Chicks are 5 weeks old and out in the big coop now.
Are they old enough for regular chicken grit? I would like to start giving them BOSS and sprouted popcorn as treats but don't want to cause any problems. I have given them a chunk of sod and they are really enjoying shredding it.

We're in Wisconsin - probably everything here is just the opposite of everything in San Antonio. But welcome to our world of chickaroos!

Been busy here as always...suzie says my sun tea is way overcooked. Me, I like it goodie!

good great summer in wisconsin afternoon,

lots of sun , nice shade and too windy for the mosquitoes ..

I just sold my extra goose.. $20.oo .
. I will tell Annie the fox got it and I will keep the money .

I have the rebuilt cable on the lawn mower, ..
Now I have to make a couple of cable holders to support it on each end of the splice..

I picked up one of the meaties.. they are about 5 or 6 pounds live weight.. a week or two more and then,,,to freezer camp they go..

Hi All!

cuties... congrats to you and the kids!

The reason I have to be on somewhat reasonable terms with the neighbor is because although having A1 zoned land, the coop is not on it and because the A1 land is only an acre, and the shape it is, there would be no place to put a coop far enough form other peoples land

Chickens are weird.....my young chicks pushed the feeder off the cinder block and proceeded to roost on it....after dusk I went out to check on them, 4 of the five were all huddled on the cinderblock instead of the roost.....
