Morning all! Ha BBP--that is what I was thinking! Maybe a nice golden brown to tone it down a little? The drawing isnt too bad me thinks...but just me...I had to laugh at the "grinning chicken lips"! DrH it is YOU! I can see the glint in that fella's eye.
Got shoveled out here--finally! I actually went to work yesterday...and the cook did too. Even though EVERYTHING in the county was closed practically. The guy that manages the building said that the kitchen will be closed when it snows so much that the people cant get down from upstairs to come to lunch! In other words--when H#LL freezes over!

I looked at utube about the ga noi birds and BCC, your roo looks much nicer! There was a bunch of cock-fighting vids on there...tried to ignore them! My Hmong clients were very interested in my getting quail this spring and said they would be happy to buy them...also they are looking for pheasant. I wonder what they would say if I got some of those ga noi? What are they worth in the Asian market as meat birds? It would be fun to surprise him with some--he has been very nice to me and even included me in one of their cultural celebrations when he bought one of my goats...let me tell you it was fascinating!
I too had so much to comment on being off for so long (wow two days!) but have forgotten everything I was going to write! I sure hope BL4 got to Oshkosh OK! I heard that the interstate was impassable from Milw to Chicago! It couldnt have been too much better a bit North! We ended up with about 15" here so not as bad as some thought. The drifts are mighty tall in the yard though...my buddy down the roads barn practically filled with snow! It crept into all the cracks and covered everything like it was sprayed in insulation! Weird! His truck got it too--left the window OPEN!

Oh yeah,,,the one thing I wanted to say is that practically the ONLY thing I have on Jim's wish list for coops is the foyer (that he doesnt have!) I thought that was pretty humorous! The only problem I have with it is that the chickens drag out straw and shavings and then I cant close the coop door until I clean it up a bit--see? always a problem with everything!

OK--gotta get ready for work! Meeting the hospice folks today for a lady...wonder what they will have to say? Terri O says, have a fantastic day! (and she's a poet and doesnt even know it!)

the ga noi look mangy in spring, summer, and fall, these are winter feathering, I called them the uglies all summer, becouse they looked like the where molting, the best part is the hens lay very well, with out light

TO you ought to see the glint in mine. Was starting to worry about you glad your OK! It's totally up to you guys whether or not to use it but Raimnel is the one that's doing all the work. Just thought the contrast [red] might work. So the final decision would be hers if she's willing to do all that. Otherwise maybe a Tshirt shop? That is a lot for one person to do wouldn't blame her a bit for stepping away from it if that logo is decided upon. Don't know much about silk screening just that you do one color at a time and seems very time consuming and labor intensive. It's all up to you guys and Raimnel.

Sooo BCC how much does it cost to buy a pair to start raiseing these bird??? and how much are these peeps willing to pay for one of those birds to eat?
am I right in assuming that "they" will buy any bird (to eat) from someone?, as long as it's NOT a cornishX? I had some Hmong come this summer and buy 5 different breeds from me but they wouldn't LOOK at the cornishX.

well, here's one for you. He showed up, i had the 3 original Adults caged up, the 2 separate, and the rest in the other pen. i told him they where ready to go. He just looked at me, then said he wanted only one rooster and I was could sell the rest, keep the trio, and he gave me $20 to off set the price of feed. Keep breeding them and he wants a new rooster now and then. So the orginal trio is staying, I can sell eggs, chicks, and older birds. anyone interested?

OK! so I have it posted on CL that I'm looking a cooler to make an incubator! some one is offering 2 Little Giants one with a turner for $40!? I know that they are each like $40 new and the turner is like $40. but are they a good incubator? I mean with MY HOMEMADE incubator I got something like 85% + hatch rate and if you disregard the ones that wern't fertile it would be more like 95% hatch rate. I hear time and time again how people are

at their LGs. so I don't know, I kind of want to make them. and do they have a fan? and do they have a window?....... the questions keep on coming

Bcc Q for u? how much are you charging for some of those birds? and how long till they are freezer ready? and how much can one sell them for (for food)?
