Wisconsin "Cheeseheads"

We have three acres...petitioned our neighbihood 6 years ago to get 6 chickens and a coop... we now have 14 adult chickens and 3 bantams... and a dozen more babies in the house... but we will rotate older bids for babies and raise the roos for meat.

So bunny friends...what breeds do you have? Would like to get one or two for my daughter but have to convince the hubby... good breeds for kids? prefer minis for size ( i grew up with californians and they were huge!)

Lionhead or dutch

Also I thought I would ask on here. I posted this question on a different thread but no one responded all day. Just a question about one of my chicks. She has been sneezing occasionally and seems to be breathing a little faster then the rest of the chicks. She otherwise is doing great. She is running around, eating, drinking, normal bowel habits. I'm not sure what to make of this? She is growing well, is about 2 weeks old now and feathers are coming in nicely. She doesn't seem to be struggling to breath at all. She has no crusting around the nose. Eye look great. She is very friendly and interactive. She literally looks fine except for the occasional sneezing and breathing faster then her chick family. She is the only easter egger I have and I wonder if it is just normal for some breeds to have different metabolic rate? I would hate to rush out and get antibiotics when she literally seems to be doing well except for breathing faster and occasionally sneezing. All the other chicks look great as well.

Any thoughts?
Sometimes they get dust from food into their nostrils. Dip its beak fairly quickly (up past the nostrils ) into the water a couple of times (allow plenty of time in between each dipping-a minute or so- so it can clear away the water).

Good day here. Chickens and Theo are still getting along well.

good morning,

we voted, fed the chickens, changed the water in the goose pond and made a batch of caramel.
today, after my appt at the VA clinic, I am going to attempt a batch of caramel/cinnamon pecan nut rolls.,
and that was my day. too cold in the shop to do any gluing.
the base turned out just great.

Silly question, when I look at my profile it says it will become visible when I am active in the forums. What is considered "active"?
jogging, cartwheels, sit-ups..

but for here it just means that you are logged in to the forum.

under the avatar you will see either online or offline of anybody logged in or not.

but this does not always work, because it shows me "offline" right now as I am posting .
