Wisconsin "Cheeseheads"

Jim-I imagine having an egg explode is messy and gross... sorry you had to deal with it. Did you ever get around to checking the other incubators? I hope that went better!
I pulled the beets out of the garden yesterday. Only got 7. I'm pretty disappointed.
My whole garden is pretty much a disaster. DH Nate says the potatoes will be done soon. They're about the only thing doing well...and we have no way to store them when their ready :hit
The wood pile is growing lots though:yesss:
Now Nate is backtracking on building a new chicken coop. But they have a home in the garage and there's nothing else in there right now, so it's not the worst thing.
The new rooster is spending more time out of his little pen so I'm hoping I can remove it all together in a few days.
There just aren't enough hours in the day right now...but I'm gonna try to enjoy it while the weather is warm...soon enough it will get cold again.
Take care all,
jean

good afternoon,
had some thunder with the hard down pour..

my beers didn't bother to sprout at all. I have a new pkg that I will sow probably today if the rain holds off.

I hill my tomatoes because I have nothing else to do.. :lau
actually, this year DD Barby helped me plant the seedlings. she is quite, no.....really bull headed.. I couldn't get her to bury them deep..
as a result there was a lot of stem left unburied up to the bottom leaves. so I banked dirt up to the bottom leaves. they will sprout more roots as a result..

there are 6 ducklings.
and no, I did not go searching for any more chicken fire crackers .

Jim, I have never managed to sprout a beer in my life. Please give me your secret, lol. I always bury my tomato plants deep when I first plant. I usually pick off the bottom 2-4 leaves and bury them. My tomatoes are currently 4.5-5 feet tall. Tomatoes forming.

Yeah, Daethen, me too. let me send DD Barby over next year to help you..

she called me tonight.
unbeknown to me, she said she was here and picked all the lower leaves off of mine last week.
Oh well, now they are planted plenty deep. lol

and now I feel better.

LOL, maybe I planted the beers too deep ??. probably shouldn't have emptied the cans first..

still only 6 ducklings.
