Wisconsin "Cheeseheads"

brent, don't forget to take a picture of the hot dogs.. LOL
Kee, what kind of strings are attached to the kittens ?? do you have to pay a fee ?
I got the carb all back together today. too cold to go out and install it.. tomorrow looks like a warm enough day to do it.. I hope there will be some sun..

Okay, I know I'm silly, but I am proud of myself because I just caught two bourbon reds from their roosts in the field. And damn near tore my arms from my socket when the tom tried to take off. I've got someone coming tomorrow to pick up a pair. My daughter was a really good sport carrying the hen back to the empty pen in the barn in the pitch black.

I really hope I identified them correctly via flashlight because they're so damn young.

PS I'm having a ton of fun.

Oh--Jim--no strings! $10 'suggested donation'. I'm going to throw them $20, because they're also microchipping them for me and I got to choose one of them (I wanted a grey one). Otherwise...they give them free, and they even bring food over that Mounds donates. Pretty good deal. Tonight when I went in to top off feeders I saw five mice, and we caught SIX today. Three in the live trap, where one had a baby. These guys need to be evicted, and soon. It's crazy.

Edited to add: We're getting 'Sunshine' and one of her best pals. You can click through to the link of available cats and see a pic.

You need to build a carnival ride for the mice kee….simple to build but deadly as heck.....I use windshield washer solution when temps drop below freezing, otherwise water all summer long works....they try to get the peanut butter on the aluminum can suspended on the top of the pail with a wire run through the center for it to spin on....plop, plop plop they go...I also place a board for easy access at a angle easy for them to get on the ride.... :plbb

We got the kitties this afternoon :) Sunshine and Cletus.

We're currently waiting on someone to pick up turkeys. First they said yesterday, then they pushed us to today, now they said tomorrow morning....I really hope so. I pulled two birds out for them and they're in a small pen and unhappy.

I just hate waiting for people to show.....you know they are the only ones with a life? Hope they show for you kee. Congrats on the new kitties...are they gonna be in and out kitties?
Good Luck to any hunters in the Morning..aim twice, shoot once.

I would give those no shows one more day and then turn the turkeys loose. then if the no shows finally do show up. tell them that if they want the turkeys, they are welcome to go catch them. really, not kidding.
after awhile you will not believe anybody until you see them leaving with the birds
I always let the people chose what day and what time. if they don't show up on time, I have actually gone to town . if they show up, I am not there.
I don't hunt any more.. but good luck to you that do. I do accept roasts, steaks and burger..

good sunny Saturday afternoon,
and I do mean good.
today I put the carburetor into the scooter.
charged up the battery and gave it a squirt of starting fluid.
it started !!!
then I tried revving up the engine. something that it wouldn't do before.
it revved up just great..
now I feel confident enough to work on the other scooter. .
I can buy them both for $50.oo/each.
will try to sell them
for $300.oo or $400.oo each..
they sell for $750.oo new..
and those come in a crate and you have to assemble them yourself..

Sweet, Jim! Congrats!

The people showed up--without anything to put the turkeys in. And wanted us to load them up. Say wha? I totally did. I'm a pushover. Plus the guy was older and looked like he had a disability. Good thing we just moved and have a ton of boxes. I should have charged him for handling fees :p

The next people who showed up were really awesome. In and out and handled everything well.

The third guy--who was going to take the remaining 19--I text finally wondering where he was and he responded 'I'll pass.' Whatever. I responded 'thanks so much for letting us know' and he said something about hunting. I don't care dude. You said you were coming to pick up turkeys. We put them all in the shed for you. You are a jerk.

Gr. Now we're on to accidentally dropping 20lbs of flour on the kitchen floor, and replacing the upstairs toilet. Fun times.
