Wisconsin "Cheeseheads"

everybody gets that warning, no body believes it will happen to them.
starting today the temps will be above freezing and dry.
I have been hoping for such weather.
I want to try to get the scooter completely put back together. then take it for a test drive if the driveway is clear of snow and ice.
but not today. I have a dentist appt and Annie has knee therapy. so as long as the day is half shot anyway, we will top it off by going out for breakfast.
enjoy the nice weather. winter is still on it's way..

Nice Winter day today for this time of year! My pullets that were hatched in late June are doing really well in regards to using the nest boxes. I've collected a few off the coop floor, but most are being laid where they should to keep them clean and safe. I have extra cockerels that are really pretty and friendly and big...gonna have to decide at some point how long I'll keep them. They are in their own coop with attached covered pen and seem to get along just fine together.

Yeah I saw that. It is one thing to kill a predator (within the law) if it is harming your stock; completely different to just shoot it and let it rot for no reason.

Whoever did that should be punished to the full extent. We need those predators to keep the deer population in check.

It has been so nice, I have been biking for the last three days..... we are spoiled to have an awesome trail just a mile from the house. It’s an old train line that went through Lake Geneva and along Lake Como.

This is the weeeeirdest weather.

We found out that the window that's half-rotted out that the landlady said wasn't leaking anymore and just looked sh*tty is, in fact leaking into the house. I guess I can be grateful for the freeze/thaw that we keep having? We got hit with the stomach flu over new year. That was crappy. This weekend should be interesting. Is anyone else going to MOSES in February?

Welcome, SPC. Hello and happy new year to all.

Hey everybody.
New to the frozen tundra. ❄️❄️
Gotta question for my fellow Wisconsinites. I’m building a coop now and just about ready to get me some biddies. Need some input as to raising chickens in the North Pole. Lol
I have experience raising chicks. Just trying to find out where to purchase.
