Wisconsin "Cheeseheads"

Made it out hunting this evening. I ended up seeing 12 deer, one small eight pointer, one doe with a fawn, one doe with two fawns, and 6 adult does with no fawns....one doe was a big old boss doe.....I had fun and eyeing up who is a possible harvest takes a few times out. The big old doe is a smart one for sure.
Garden is winding down...won't be long and I'll be digging potatoes.

my pole beans are doing OK yet. I planted them very late.
something ate most of our tomatoes. Probably red squirrels.
Bil and Sil came today. brought us a quart of sour kraut.
I made center cut pork chops , mashed potatoes and gravy, fresh green beans and purple sweet & sour cabbage.
mint chip ice cream cone for dessert.
Annie's hip surgery is scheduled for the day before thanksgiving..
that was the earliest date available.
It looks like I will get my way and get to install a tall ADA toilet. Annie resisted, but I insisted..

We have talked about upgrading our toilet to a high boy also...they are user friendly for sure.
Bagged a nice 9 pointer the other night. I took it to the butcher with all the warm weather we are having...seeing a lot of deer this year. I'm glad to have one in the freezer early in the season for a change.
Picked a ice cream pail of green beans today, they must be just about done now I'm thinkin.

I am surprised, seems like everybody I talk to has a high boy toilet. they all really like them.
I am waiting for GS to have a day off so he can help me install ours. Actually he is going to do it, I am going to supervise more than help.
He doesn't know this, yet.
When I was a teenager, I told my girl friend that my mother is deaf, so you have to talk real loud and slowly.
then I told my mother that my new girlfriend was mentally challenged.

hey Brent, where do you think everybody is ?
Last night the storm turned out all of our lights for a minute.
This morning I got up a 6AM and took a shower and shaved.
Went to the kitchen at 7:3o to make coffee.
the clock there said 5:45...?? I hate digital clocks.. At least the phone still works, that's sort of a miracle around here.
Kalib installed the new dog waterer yesterday. Frankie is pleased with it.
I am going to donate the old toilet to H for Humanity if the want it.

The storm woke me up twice last night, but all the clocks were still working so we didn't lose power. Sounds like the wind is going to pick up this afternoon. Maybe the leaves will blow across the road into the woods - yep, our sugar maple is already past prime for color and dropping leaves. Not ready to give up summer yet!!
Good morning, @jvls1942 !

late afternoon, but good morning Wyo.
Annie made a pot of chicken soup, so I made a couple loaves of bread. chicken soup and
ho made bread w/grape jelly were meant for each other..
got windy here today, too.

good morning,
Nichrism, most people cannot have roosters if they live in the city/village ..
the people in the country usually have plenty.
If you plan on keeping chickens, You might want to develop a taste for chicken soup.
pretty roosters taste like chicken..
