Wisconsin "Cheeseheads"

Our tradition was to make a big meal and anybody could come. All we asked was to let us know a few days in advance.
this year we are having just the people who live here. there are five of us. One of them is going to go with his family.
normally we would have about six more people.
I usually handle all the cooking on TDay.
except the pies.
this year my wife ordered the
"meal for six" from the County market
Deli.. I will probably tweak the sweet potatoes with brown sugar or marshmallows. butter and black pepper.

we have both.
This is how TDay meal goes.
first you decide what to make. then gather the ingredients. cook and bake for a whole day.
sit down to eat and it is over in twenty minutes.
the nap afterwards is longer than it took to eat..

We do a dish to pass but the host has to always make the turkey. Thanksgiving is always smaller in attendance than Christmas, we normally only have about 50 people for Thanksgiving and we always go to the biggest house and with the weather for tomorrow we will be able to spread out nicely in the house, garage, and even the porch.

good luck with that.. our daughters live here in town. they won't come here unless we meet outside.. and that is very seldom..
I have not been inside a super market for months. Annie goes in because she has to.
two of the guys living here have jobs to go to. that concerns me ..

Yep, we are starting the meal prep today too. Pies being baked as well as the squash...wild turkey has been in a brine and will be super tender....we still have deer to finish cutting also....busy, busy, here for sure.
Happy Thanksgiving to all the cheeseheads!

Stay Safe....bigz
