Wisconsin "Cheeseheads"

Left them in the crate for the rest of the day, then when they went to the roost, I closed the door to the coop and left the new ones in the run for the night.
Next morning i opened the door,
You know what happened next. :)
Yesterday they mostly stayed in their two groups.

Yep EE that is almost always the case, and they will remain that way forever.
Chickens are amazing creatures when you pay attention to what's going on.
Folks that love to keep poultry are an amazing special group that really do pay attention to details.
Some molting going on here now, and extreme daily temps calls for the electrolyte added to the waterers.

well, I had rain again. at 7 PM it started to rain hard.
It continued to rain hard for 40 minutes without a let up.
40 miles west of us . in Medford, they had ping pong ball size hail.
glad we didn't get any hail at all.
I have to tweak my rain barrels. the spill over
tube cannot keep up to the downspout.

We got some flooding last night. The storms started up quick and lasted all night. Wiping out power south of us. Luckily we didnt loose power.
The winds got strong though taking out our sunflowers. And 2 of our tomato plants. Luckily our corn stayed and is almost ready for harvest.

We finally received some much needed rain. Two broccoli plants were tipped over, so I cut the heads that were about to picked anyway, and stood the plants back up for the next cutting. Going to roast some tomorrow with the chicken on the grill. The rest of the broccoli will be frozen with carrots for future meals. I love those two veggies together.

I'm sorry to hear about your flooding/weather. You must be south a ways. I got a little over 1/2"
I did have some dead branches come down, but that was it.
Guess I'll be mowing a little more often now. :)

We our in Iowa county. The winds atleast reached 45 50 mph.
Our neighbors tree let off huge branches.

We have two trees down from the wind. My only heat source is wood, so I'm use to cutting up trees no matter how big they are. Being safe while cutting is a must to continue year after year with this heat source. But saving a K a year is worth it to me.
