I'm going out to check the trail cameras soon, before the heat.
Chickens will have access to the backyard, but prefer the cool, shady run on the hot days.
BEAR meat? Best ever in my book!

Im glad the heat is gone to.
I have a broody on some eggs and it got so hot a egg exploded i dont think it was fertilized but still.

Funny that cluck didn't roll that bad egg out .
they usually can tell if an egg is not developing.
I think a bad egg doesn't retain heat and feels
cold to the cluck.. that is just what I surmised
after years of doing eggs in the incubators..
long story short,,,,Annie is baking an apple pie
for me..first one this season.. that is always the best one.

She did roll out the 2 unfertilized eggs i had in there before we got fertilized eggs. The egg that exploded had to have been bad.

Hens are amazing with knowing which eggs are good!
If a hen shove one out, then simply believe her and candle the egg for proof.

FFF tonight is ho-made fries with deep fried cod. Love my FFF every week.

Up here, we missed all that heat. Yesterday, it rained and dropped to the low 50’s. So bizarre how that heat wave just stopped short of us. Glad you and your birds are safe!
