I would love to have seen pictures of those bear cubs.
I have 4 Coyote pups out back now.

Last week was my Turkey season and I refer to it as the mis adventures of Eagleeye.

We can heat coyotes and coyote pups that are down in thr pasture in front of our house. Never seen one in town though.
We have foxes that have gotten close though

we had a bear walk up to our deck one morning while I was out there drinking my coffee.
there are wolves in the neighborhood. so the coyotes are not present.
Annie watched a fox run across our lawn, grab her favorite duck and never slowed down.
Had an eagle snatching our young guineas and chicks . had owls snatching the guineas out of the pine tree.+

Sounds like you have lots of predators there.
Wr have coyotes, fox, hawks and eagles. And a few stray cats.

4 bear cubs in our yard night before last.

DNR called back and explained those four were probably from the same sow (never knew momma bears were called that) and that it's breeding season for them, so she booted them out of the den. They are basically four teenagers bumbling around looking for sources of food. They did nothing here but play in a flower bed and haven't seen them since. We already had bears damage our bird feeders getting the sunflower seeds out of them, so now we string them up in the trees with ropes and pulleys.

Nothing better than life in the country! Wildlife everywhere on a daily basis is normal, and I wouldn't want in any other way.
True country red necks have more knowledge about wildlife than college educated folks without hands on will ever have.

Beautiful job on the cutting board. I like the idea of it fitting in the sink. My fish fileting cutting board broke in half. And I have to figure out how to glue it back together.

I am back. I bet you didn't know I was gone.
I was locked out of the internet for a few days.
still am, but I figured out how to get into byc through the back door.
for edge gluing , I use either gorilla original glue or gorilla wood glue. both are water resistant. hint: give either at least two days to dry if you are going to run the piece through a planer.
nice weather we are having. got the rider out today and made a couple of laps around the house just to get the cobwebs out.
just like the lawn, all the trees are waking up.
full bloom on the plums and pear trees. apple trees are looking like it will be any day, now.
grapes looking good. rhubarb is almost ready for picking.
I got the tractor back with a new oil pump in it. great oil pressure , now.
I want to get a piece of ground worked up for corn.
so many things to do. what do I do first ?
