I wonder if Jim will do the chicken dance tonight,,,,,,,
???????????? Care to enlighten? What have you and Jimbo been up to now?

Ang, I believe the place they are leaving is the illegal chicken residence. I'm pretty sure that was one of their reasons for wanting to move, but don't quote me on it.

How old is Amery? He really looks young. Pretty guy, though. I just love my lav orp roos. Such good temperaments in those birds.

They'd have to be serving his special rooi beers or that homemade Bailey's to get him out on that dance floor, I'm guessing.

Speaking of that Bailey's recipe, it is yummy, but next time we make it, I'm going to substitute mint extract for the almond. Mmmmm!

Good evening! Jim is headed to a wedding tonight CC...he posted that earlier. Dan I laughed right out loud when you said that...I pictured Jim dancing...I am still laughing!
I gave Tommy a half piece of bread and all the dogs have bben going over there to check it out (if they can get any) One of the BCs just went there and Tommy pecked her on the nose! The beagle and Tommy get into it quite often...she tries to get his papers out of the cage cause, well, you know why!

I forgot my phone in the car after grocery shopping this afternoon. I think I have to go out and get it. MXM had been messaging me and I havent answered her. I have those giant bannana squash seeds for her from JJ. Does anyone else want some? He said each plant grows one 4' long squash and needs about 15 sqft per plant! He brought close to 100 seeds I bet! I can bring them to the bash to share. JJ--any idea on the amount of days the plant needs? I could probably start them in peat pots for you Northerners...

I am pretty comfortable sitting right here. My legs didnt get any better despite all the IB and Tylenol that I took today! My friend was done with her horses by the time I came back past her farm after shopping so that worked well. I had left my phone in the car while in the store and she called me to pick up some cigs for her...sorry I didnt get the message! Then she called the store for the clerk to find me! SHe called again on my way back to her place...yeah--I was already on the way; then she wanted me to drive up to her mailbox to check for mail! I went up her drive and walked down to the box to get it. Her legs must be hurting way more than mine...or she's a whiner. Take your pick!

My friend that has the peacocks for sale said this: "Lets say 25 per females and 40 for my 4 big males, will sell young males for 20 ( I have 4) Group discount before SWAP" So if anyone wants to get into peacocks, speak now or forever hold your peace! I believe they are the regular black shoulder type. She is the one that lives right near the park where we had the fall bash 2 years ago. (Lake Mills)

Gee, it's 7:14 and I am so tired...perhaps I ought to hit the hay early tonight? The fam is at the hockey game (again) so it is nice a quiet here and I am loving it! They are going to someplay-off thing in Chicago next weekend so they will be gone then too. Party at my place!

Those look like some nice birds Denise! The difference between Ameraucana and EE is that Ameraucana (when pure) will lay a blue egg. EE's lay blue, green, pink or tan eggs. One parent is an Ameraucana. (correct me if I am wrong please!)
And now I have a question too...that CL add that JJ posted said that "anything you breed to this Cream legbar will produce pullets that lay blue eggs" OK, is this guy full of sh!t? BigFam do you know the genetics of them? I thought they were the offspring of a barred breed and a leghorn? Where does this supposed blue egg gene come in?

Lots of kitties on the post tonight...

The rest of them are probably laying on the folded laundry on the kitchen table! Doncha just love cats? BTW--there are now kittens on the kitty cam! I just watched two of them have a 4 min long play fight. It was adorable!

Alright..I am going to have some Heavenly Hash ice cream. We used to have it all the time growing up and I spotted it in the store today...better get the meat down into the freezer too. We seem to have another cat on the porch lately! *sigh* they just keep on coming!
Sweet dreams! TerriOthinkingitwillbeareallysmalldishoficecream

AngieBubs will have to tell you exactly...but if I remember right - he was hatched in May/June last year....I think.

She has photo's of him when he was just a little peep.

If you call his name - he'll talk back to you. IF he hears me in the house - he'll crow.
I'll miss them being so close when they have to return to the coop. Which I would think won't be to long (crossing fingers it warms up) Sure has made doing
chores a whole heck of a lot easier.

Well my other half went to the movies without me. =( He asked - but I don't like blood and gore...and nothing else is out. So...I'm just busy surfing -seeing what else
I have to have this spring. I personally could think of other ways I would of rather spent our kidless night.

Ok o many moons ago I was an exchange student in Paraguay South America and the first meal I had there was chicken foot soup. Was similar to a chicken noodle, just thicker from the gelatin in those feet...but they were floating in there and that sight never left me twenty years later...

Anyway..say I have a friend who I am getting into chickens..hehe... And she is perusing all the chicken sights and found she would like on of her first chicks to be a red or golden sex link...anybody breed those on here if I need hatching eggs? I will keep ou posted,on other breeds too. Would buy some eggs to start for her. I need an olive egger otherwise... Hoping to hatch for fools day
