I read that too, but that will make it that much more fun to open the nest boxes and see those pretty brown eggs!!I had some...I was disappointed in their laying frequency. The roo I have is very pretty though. He might be used to make some OE babies this year.
Micheller (is that right?) that is getting ducks? That pen set up looks nice for when they are just a bit older. For newly hatched ducklings I like to put them in a fishtank-like set up on paper towels. It looks like you have really deep shavings in there...they will eat them in the first few weeks and you may have trouble. Also they are VERY messy so you will want to change out the bedding every day or two...depending on how quickly they spill their water! LOL! HTH!
LOL!! I spoke to another woman in Stillwater, MN where they just got their ordinance changed last fall. She was really helpful. I'm going to call the Community Development Director now and see if he can let me know what would be required to change the current ordinance... if there's a fee, etc...from the ordinance:
it would appear they eat horses in Hudson!!!!!!
