She is my daughters. Her name is tulip dandelion. I naver thought I of all ppl would own a small dog lol! She is pomeranoin, chiwawa, and yorkshire terrier. Did you know my daughter is totally spoiled! Lol my son also has his own dog. But doesn't love him quite as much. Bones is plott/ walker x.

I hear ya. I was a german shepard and doberman owner in my younger years. I always said small dogs were not dogs !!!
Cute picture of your son and "his" dog !!! Do they pick up their own dogs poop and feed "their" own dogs? lol
Then after all of my large dogs pass over the rainbow bridge I decided to get one small dog.... Yikes a poodle !!!! because I had parrots and I didn't want a large dog to eat them !!! Then one day my Old Auntie said, I thought you didn't like small dogs... you said they aren't dogs !!!! Well, My reply was .... "They aren't dogs !!! They are babies !!! "
I love small dogs now. That one poodle changed me forever !!! I now have two small dogs. A poodle/bichon (my aunties dog that came to live with us after she passed away last Oct) That's Dolly, and Buttons aka Butt Dog which some of you met two years ago at the bash. She is a shitzu/bichon mix. I love love love my tiny small dogs as I call them.
Tuesday at the spay clinic there was a shitzu/chihuahua mix that looked like my dogs. He was so dang cute. He was recovering from his neuter a few feet away from me and he kept us all entertained with his howling. It was real low pitch and his head would raise up, kind of like Snoopy dog does !!!! LOL He was so cute. When his owner came and picked him up I said I just have to give him a kiss as she carried him out. His name is Charlie and I guess he is one spoiled little man. The owner was so stressed leaving him there she said she had to take an anti anxiety pill !!!
I do still love my big dogs. I have two Great Pyrenees and a chocolate lab. Pyrenees aren't a real snuggler and they hate being in the house because they get so warm. That's what little dogs are good for !!!! Hugs and tons of kisses......

I suppose the little rat has grown on me lol. I call her the ankle biter! Tho luckily she is nothing like I imagined little dogs. Shes actually the only one that properly puts my bully x pup in his place. Theres something to be said for being female! ;-)
They feed the dogs almost every day. My daughter is very good at picking up poo. My son is still learning at 3. Im all about...if you want it, your responsible for it! Hubby n I just had a "heated discussion" the other night. He thinks I make the kiddos do too many chores! We have a lot of nice thing (animals) for them. I think it shou ld just be expected...
I want to give them everything I wanted growing up, and then some. Plus its a perk that I get to have them too lol.
Hopefully someday I can afford to get them a horse or two... hubby IS NOT sold on that one yet! Lol his ex used to show them. He does not like them :-( ill win eventually...

Oh and don't forget to bring your pillows to the bash !!! Huge pillow fights !!!!! AND no synthetic pillow innards allowed you must use FEATHER PILLOWS if you want to participate !!!!
We only got 25 gallons of sap out of the trees today. Not bad I guess for the weather? This is our first year so anything is better then nothing I guess.

Now don't go giving Bigfam any more bright ideas!

Del, those are some beautiful birds you have there. I can't believe how big they are already! Interesting on how those gold laced ones all differ slightly. Very pretty though. And that blue Am. What a cutie!

And good for you on having the kids do chores! They are rarely too young to learn responsibility for "their" possessions. If they want animals, then it is best (I think, anyway) that they learn right from the get-go that with animals comes a lot of work and responsibility. If they want them bad enough, then they should help out with the care and feeding of them. And it will teach them some valuable life lessons & help give them a good work ethic too. IMHO. Kudos to you.

I know a mare and her foal got taken by a rescue and one other pregnant mare was taken because she was in too poor of condition to cross state lines. The womans son took some, and I'm not sure where the others went. Turns out she has another herd of about 20 in Polk county (this herd was in Dunn county and Barron county). I'm not sure what's happening to them at this point.
