Wisconsin "Cheeseheads"

Deli-at what age do your Blk orps start laying? I've got someone making a bunch of racket in the morning around 7:30am. The sounds reminds me of what my other hens did when they laid, but the blk orps aren't old enough, right? They are only 4 mos. old! That is about the right time for the roos to start crowing, but it just doesn't sound like an ametuer crow. My 2 "supposed" roos are about 3 mos. old.

Thanks to my oldest son, I now have a nice watermark for my pics!

Anyway, here it goes....

Here is our mascot/navigator. Eventually the pig ended up on the dash.

Trixie ready to go..... thinking she is copilot.

The Fonz with his ladies....

This was the normal activity level of the kids for a lot of the driving time.....

A small storm developing just outside of SD.

Grassland area in MN/ eastern SD

Around the MO River....

Back out on the plains...

Great view from a off-road viewing point.

A little closer.....

We made it!

Enjoy!

Saved by the bell or should I say ringy ding dingy cel phone yesterday. Was at Dollar General and was thinking about buying some cookies.... was just about to turn into the isle and I get a phone call for my reminder appointment with the diatician tomorrow...... needless to say.... I passed on the cookies !!!!!
Grrrrrr !!!!!! Now to find something to satisfy my sweet tooth.... and I don't like fruit......but guess I'll have to learn.

Going to go out now after I clean out my duck pens and plant some more in my garden. My pumpkins won't be ripe until Christmas at this point... pray for a long long summer !!! LOL

I was wondering where you were Jim..... forgot about your trusses... for a minute there I thought maybe you got stuck to your coop floor and couldn't get up !!!!

bbl

I got the last truss finished about a half hour ago.. had company for a couple of hours.. that always slows down progress..

gross. when old auntie slipped me the tongue, she also slipped me her gum,, I said thanks auntie, but I already have some gum.. Oh, she said,, It wasn't gum,, I just cleared my throat..

I haven't had breakfast yet.. Annie is bringing me an Arbies roast beef and fries..

two of my sisters came today and cleaned out gramma's room.. Brother from R. I. arrived today..
we will finally bury gramma at 10 AM on Friday.. she was on ice all this time.. Her grave site was under ice,, and then water,, now it is dry enough for them to dig the hole..

I have not had to water my plants.. it rains about every other day.. the tomatoes and peppers are doing very well.. the tiny tomato plants have just about tripled in size already.. lots of blossoms have re appeared on the pepper plants.. I picked them all off when I planted them..

had Dora to the new vet yesterday.. he took her off all of her meds and gave her one pill.. today she is actually more alert and walking around,, not much walking,,, but any walking is more than she was doing.. and she is wagging her tail a bit.. something she has not done for over 6 weeks.. looks hopeful,, but not getting hopes up too high, just yet..

JJ, he has tried to quit cold and it did not work, he has tried the medications; nothing. I agree with you though; if you want to quit STOP BUYING SMOKES. If you do not have them you cannot smoke them...... it is a complete commitment.
That is way easier said than done, unfortunately. DH quit cold turkey. I did the gradual decrease til I was only smoking one cig a day, then I quit. The longer you go without them, the easier it gets. Now the smell of them gets me queasy.

It IS a lifestyle change, just like going on a diet. You have to change your whole routine if you want to be successful. Whoever said to keep busy was right. Keep the hands and mind preoccupied.

I hope your DH can do it.

The difference in the way you feel is amazing!
