Alrighty enablers; white eggs!! I want some! It will be my belated bday present to me. Fertile white eggs.
Now I need you all to direct me on a good breed, or mix... I googled... came up with a lot of bantom, and flighty breeds. And too annoying that the phone has poor service tonight. And I should think about laying in bed. 100 am is early lol

So; white egg, big bird, kinda friendly. I do have what I was told is a blue Andalusia. But she hasn't gotten a tail????
Do any of you have any white egg layers to recommend/sell eggs from?

I once had a small flock of leghorns - easy to care for and consistent layers but they didn't have much of a personality.

Frenchie to answer your kitty question way back there, they are from different litters. I think the tan/white's mom is calico, can't remember the other one. That little dark calico was the only one in her litter, Julie just found her in the driveway one day; she must have been born under the porch. No idea on daddies. Her last couple adult females are getting fixed this month. Anyone know when kittens can be spayed? These girls of ours are a couple months old.

Holy rain batman! 3-4 inches in 3 hours. The creek is at spring-surge levels and my duck pen is 2/3 underwater! They are happy as can be. Their pond was turning green and needed refreshing, but this was a little overkill. My livetrap got swept away, will have to go look for it when the water recedes. Sure hope there was nothing in it.

cs, I have fertile eggs from Norwegian Jaerhons. Nice birds that are good layers of white eggs, but they are small (3-5lbs.)

Some douche stole one of my call duck pictures and is using it on one of their Craigslist ads. I'm thinking of emailing them and asking if they still have the duckling in that picture. If they say yes, I'm really going to lay into them.

Well got the brooder done but I think I made it too big, 32"deep 2'high and 64"long takes up quite a bit of room in coop. Also put down new floor and made the roost. Today had to be the worst yet for humidity, good news I've lost 20lbs in past 2 weeks from all this building in the heat. Time for a little break though, someone said it might rain tomorrow so might get to sit inside with the air and kick back.

Nice job! I've been making quite a bit list of things to alter/add to our coop. One thing being vinyl floor. I wouldn't mind losing 20lbs either
Hubby is leaving for almost 3 weeks for some Army school stuff starting Wednesday, so hopefully I can get lots done!

I posted in the breed/gender forum some pictures of our older birds and the new babes.
Sounds like our 8 week olds aren't Red Star after all, but some barnyard mix. No biggie, they're friendly and full of personality, so it's alright!
The ones that we were told were Ameraucana are EEs. Time will tell I guess on what they all turn out to look like!

My 3 babies are doing awesome. These are from 2ish days ago. Look at the size difference! Barney is a big guy/gal!

Moved them into a bigger tote, the sand is working well. They sure make a mess with their food, even with the feeder! They empty that thing in a matter of hours, with food kicked all around. Grr!

Washed Barney's booty last night, and Lily snuggled with her to warm up, she fell asleep.. adorable!

John John John... there was nothing wrong showing up to unload hay in my pink, coral, and gold croc skin pattern sandals with gold starfish on them. I wasn't going to unload with my feet! But alas... I was put on kid duty... I was so very sad I missed out on the work....

building does not cause weight loss.. I was a builder for over 30 years , and I gained about 80 pounds in the duration.. must work only for women.

Happy Belated Birthday Cuties !!!

Well, I'm going to be playing hooky tomorrow. I'm suppose to go to Wausau to see the endocrinologist, then get a blood test, then to the dietician.....Then tomorrow night stay in Wausau and go to the sleep study at 8pm.
I'm beat and am suffering from Heat Rage..... so I'm just going to reschedule the daytime appointments and go just for the sleep study.

Bladder infection is improving nicely. Thanks for all of the advice ladies. I did have some cranberry capsules that also had lactobacillous and vitamin C in them. I took a bunch last night.... Just may have done the trick !!

Decided to get the pool from Walmart after all. I called the Intex Pool company and asked about the pumps and filters that FF included in their packages vs what Wally World included.
The FF saltwater system and pump were one unit compared to Walmarts two units.

So I saved a little bit of money going to Walmart HOWEVER they said online it would be delivered to the store on July 15th. Then when I finally placed the order it said July 19 Th... So I place the order and now they are saying July 23 !!! H3LL half the summer will be gone before I even get it ....

I want it like Yesterday.

Farrier texted me today, wants to come finish the other horses and leave the two donkeys for another day.
I told him I have a farrier jack stand on order so I can start working with them all on being better with their feet and having a stand to work with.
My sister and BIL are coming up to stay at the cabin over in Monico. They are babysitting for Addie for the week while Addies' parents are in Canada fishing for the week. So I get to see my baby !!! Hopefully we can get the pontoon boat over to the cabin.
Want to try to find some pony rides up this way so we can get little Addie on a well broke pony to see if she likes them.
