Wisconsin "Cheeseheads"

Good luck FT! I am a horrible sleeper and have always wondered how in the world people can fall asleep being watched/attached to monitors? I suppose theyre used to dealing with that tho. Good thing they let you take a sleeper! I hope this time it helps with clarifying your dx.
Cute chick pics, cool storm pics!

we are taking a family trip to the Shed Aquarium. Never been, sounds neat. spending the day with Dh's family and I'm keeping fingers crossed that the kids all behave.

I must have done the quote thing wrong, but whoever cleans units ~ try (if you haven't) either e-cloth or Norwex. I have both, they work the same, but the e-cloth costs MUCH less. I'm always amazed at how little effort I need to use and how absolutely Awesome they work. :) Blinds suck no matter how you do it.

BBP~ I once had a cat who was peeing in the house and it turned out that he had fleas even though he was on Frontline. As soon as I found them (after several months!) and got him a dose of Capstar, the problem was solved. That cat is trying to tell you something. get it checked out, it'll help both of you feel better! :)
can't remember much else- sorry!

Gnight all!
Those would probably work if we just had to dust them- these have a thicker layer of dust, etc on them- only way to get clean that I have found is to wash them.

Moment of crab: love it when hubs doesnt get home from work until 8 pm, makes himself a big ol' drink, gets to stay up late, so he sleeps in, so he's grumpy as he!! For sleeping in, ragging at kids this morning, comments on my parenting skills because I won't sit right next to the kid taking forever to eat his cereal, then makes sure to comment about the gigantic hole in the backyard MY dog dug that has been there for weeks and is NOT new... Yeah, see yah honey. Have a super day at work. Appropriate sarcasm drippingly applied to last statement.

I think I'll have some Baileys with my coffee thank you very much...

Sounds like my morning. Right when I get up this morning he's telling me I have too many chickens. Then he asks when I'm getting better paying job. And he's getting new tires for his truck and putting them on my credit card.

Yes it is an interesting read. Had no idea people would take them to a shelter. Yep have seen countless craigslist adds on birds to "good" home..not the stew pot.
I would never take a bird with that contingency.. those people probably would go right out and get another/more birds and then get rid of them also when they get tired of them.. HeII no, they can keep them until they (the birds) die of old age.. I will go even further to wager that eventually those birds would mysteriously/conveniently die if those people could not get rid of them..

Good afternoon...maybe there is something in the air...I think we had the same arguments this week!
I dont know about you guys but that article kinda pi$$ed me off! If you are going to have chickens as pets "that make you breakfast" then you have the responsibility to take care of them until they are no more. If you have chickens because they provide you with eggs and meat then there is not that problem because when they dont lay any more you can make soup or sell them to someone that wants to eat them. Blaming the number of birds dropped at shelters on "Foodies" and the locavore movement is just stupid. End of rant and thank you.

So, on my farm today three more broodies came out with their chicks! I guess I will have a nice amount of youngish birds for the Hmong customers that I have this year. My last goose got off her nest and broke it up. I guess no more gostlings for the year. Grand total remains at ONE! I think I will band it so I can grab the right one for a dinner sometime this winter. I am researching it though cause the last one I make was so tough even the chickens wouldnt eat it!

Dh went to Iowa last night and then is heading to Nebraska from there. He says he will be home of Friday...I dont know how he can drive so much!
I was in Madison to drop off DS and went to pick up my gates from there. Those people are so nice! He said he was working 5 hours but I still havent heard from him to pick him up...I am glad that I dont have to get W from daycare tonight...that is probably the time I will be heading to Madison!

I think my break is over...I need to go outside and plant some plants I bought...I wanted to get new herbs in my garden this year...I think 2 of the 8 have died....

Poor plants...people want to have their own herbs for their local veggies and eggs and then they go and KILL innocent plants! Oh those darn Foodies!

I am stumped.. have my tiller half ripped apart..cannot figure why it will not fire.. put in a different/new plug.. nada.. coil ? points ? short ? I think I need a nap..

Terri, who would you blame for all these chickens dropped at shelters? These ain't goldfish you won at the fair, for some reason ppl thought they were a good idea, my guess is for the grow your own idea.

If you notice lots of coops (the cutesy kind) showing up on CL these days.

Jim my guess would be short,,,,,bad ground on the points

bbl going to check out a new local strawberry operation
