The chocs are fine. Slowly calming. Very slowly. But now I have a wheaten marans roo hatched. it's the only one out for 2 days now. All he does is peep peep peep. Poor guy. I have a stuffed animal in there, but he only stops when someone is in the room talking to him or holding him. I have 6 other eggs in the brinsea doing nothing. Can't one other chick just come out?! Just one?!

Day 6 of the Ultimate Reset and down 5 lbs. I'm really hoping for 15 lost by the end.

Maybe Bigfam took the lonely chick out of the incubator and then gave it a stuffed toy? I would totally do that, lock-down is not a literal term around here.

You would not be afraid of the fast air exchange when opening the incubator? With one chick out most of the other eggs inside should be internally piped. That big woosh of exchange in air humidity would make me worry about shrink wrapping my chicks still left in the eggs. You guys are braver than I am.

I left the chick in the tiny, tiny brinsea for 2 days hoping for more to hatch. I couldn't leave it in there any longer. I pulled it out and gave it a stuffed animal. I absolutley am not concerned with any airflow exchange. there are no pips on any other eggs. There is no shrink wrapping if there are no pips. Shoot, I fix shrink wrapping just by dabbing watter on exposed membranes when I open a bator. These eggs were delivered right to my house. Problem number 1. Then I figured out my turner wasn't turning for the first 8 days??. Problem number 2. So I have this little one all by itself and six sitting there doing nada.

you did ok,, the air exchange does not harm internally pipped eggs.. it could be harmful if there is a hole in the shell..

I am done bantering about that guy and his animals.. I do not , like you do, have all the details whether he is guilty or not..

Now I am going back to watch the second half of the Packers ..

Here... The guy was dumb. He shouldn't have had so many animals. He shouldn't hav ewalked away from them, and should have notified somebody. The bank should have gone over and looked at the property long before now. Shame on them both. How are the Packers doing? I will never get to see another Packer gme with this job... : (

the Pack is looking better tonight than (not then) they did last week.. was ahead 6 -0 at halftime.

None of us know the circumstances about that guy.. all we can do is speculate and compare him to someone else we came into contact with.. I still blame the bank.. it was not their "first time around the block".. they have, or at least should have procedures to cover this sort of thing.. They foreclosed, it was/is their property,, therefore their responsibility .....

Tèrri o...the poulet looked like massive Rhode Island reds...full feathers. Beautiful but as big if not bigger than jersey giant. I will take my camera if the are not dinner in two weeks when we go out.
Gee Terri...how are your guineas doing? May nano to swap at some time perhaps... So hard to tell but at three weeks we are only hearing single sounds from them and not the buckwheat sounds...ugh...we will see. Today was painting the deck and tomorrow is moving plants around. Busy but goodmstuff

Well Heather, if we met up with people at the Mushroom place in the morning, made it to Terri's house, then to your house, maybe we would make it home by suppertime! It is appx. 238 mi and should take 4 hours and 37 min of driving time to get from Antioch, all of those stops, and then back home...... makes for a very long day.....

When do your kids start school?

I have done absolutely NO back to school shopping. I have not seen anything come in the mail with school supply lists in it! I do not get the paper and out school is really BAD about getting the lists out to the local shops,..... I suppose I will have to go online and just print one off myself. Thank goodness the majority of my purchases this year will be notebooks and folders.I have nobody left in the Elementary school....

I am going to go tubing on the Wolf River again tomorrow morning with the girls from work ( letting DH pack up the car). I am looking forward to some RELAXATION time!!!! Then I will be all set to jump in the car and torture my children!!!!

I suppose I should go move the sprinkler so the water Nazi's will leave me alone........
