Thankfully the surgeon runs it through both dental and medical, so our out of pocket will not be too horrible (I hope!).

Still have the Springer. The rescue is waiting for the relinquish paperwork from the owner. He was well behaved for my in-laws over the holiday, did his growling bit but they have had many dogs over the years and know the tricks to nip unwanted behavior. I am hopeful he will be gone before Christmas..... I am not getting any compensation from the rescue for food and such since I am not a foster home.

Terri, maybe you could find another newborn pup and swap it in? Poor baby needs a litter mate.......

Most of the lights are up/done, just need another extension cord or two and a power strip.....

I just got a ride home from town with a friend.. it has been snowing here for over an hour and we have a good two inches or more.. and it is s l i p p e r y ... so watch it when you go out tomorrow..(today)

Hi All!

TO... sorry to hear about the loss of pups.

Good advice. Call around to some vets and shelters and see if you can find another pup. That one is going to have to move around on the teats a bit too so mom doesn't get infection. It's hard when you don't want her to dry up completly but just keep a couple filled.

Snow is pretty..... the only good thing I have to say about it.

Guess that's it. Lots to do tomorrow..... Night All.

Cuties..patricia McConnel...she has training centers down in madison. We did one with the first pup.

Got some shopping done the past few days, now to do the returns too.

Say I have a cowoerke with chickens in madison that is selling his house. he has hree 18 month old chickens he is looking to find a good home for, anyone interested? They are: speckled sussex, a light sussex and a rhode island red.sussex cross.

wet and gross outside. no snow, but lots of rain. I am sure the chickens hate that as much as the dog does! hubby is finally brave enough to leave dog out all day without kennel. Now I am gone 6.5 hours when I am at work, so not horrible. I have been leaving he been leaving him out for months..it is just hubby that things the world might end. Prepping myself for holiday party at work this weekend. It is an HR Managers nightmare...oh joy! I am sure I will have fun. Just got toget hubby to have some fun too!

Snowy Morning here too. Rain mixed with snow falling on the couple inches we already have.

Thanks for the kind offer cuties, but I hope that isn't necessary. Bigz is improving...hope it's not an ongoing theme for sure. He is so good when picked up to deliver the medicine. Really gentle birds. They got out to free range yesterday and had a blast. Prolly a white ground til spring now.

Split a couple faces of white ash yesterday. It will be next year wood. I'm happy to have it stacked and tarped before the snow arrived. I wish I had all my wood for this winter made. I think I'm prolly about 5 faces short.....where did the fall go anyway?

Melissa, be sure to see if they will run it through medical insurrance. When I had mine removed it was MUCH cheaper that way! What is up with the springer? Haven't heard yet if the rescue came to get him.
Lovetofarm, I also loooove the snow! I figure if it has to be miserably cold it might as well be beautiful
To, be sure to use those stuffed toys to push that pup all around. My vet had a dog artificially inseminated and she had just one pup. No amount of work made that thi g non aggressive. She went through he!! Even worked with patrisha.....ocono? Can't remember her last name. Famous behaviorist. She had a show on animal planet.
All is well here. Eggs went into lockdown yesterday. Worried about them. When bbl4 candeled, looked like quite a few clears. I know those sl roos are not doing their job yet. It is my first monday without class. Kinda missing it.

Are your SL pullets laying? Mine have not started yet and I think it will be soon. They will not let the male breed, but he does try.

The sl girls are laying. Have been for a couple weeks. But I beleive they are all clear. I only cracked one that looked like a bullseye.
Kristip yup! Thats her name I was in love with her on animal planet lol
Glad to hear bigz is improving! We help the fil every now and again with the wood. Lots of work for sure!
