Wisconsin "Cheeseheads"

Howdy everyone,, CS so you got yourself a puppy? hmmm imagine that! never saw that comin.. So whats the little fellar s name.. or did I miss that? That pup is one lucky dog!!! Ran into Cooties and the kids at F.Farm today.. Always nice to see a fellow foweler. Ha [ Cooties and the Kids] sounds like a TV show.. a comedy maybe! Nice score on the birds Jim. I need to get some eggs for hatching.. My wife and I purchased a new puppy for our 2 grandsons ages 4 n 2 and my DD went to pick it up today . I was a little worried about this as we purchased the pup online but we only saw a couple of pictures of her.. The seller seemed very nice,, and genuine on the phone..but you never know.. Well she was very happy with the puppy and the boys just love her... They named her DAISY.. They live in south central Illinois.. My wife is there for a visit and to introduce Daisy to the boys.. Anyway they live out in the country,,semi wooded area,, lots of tics so I told I would get her some Tic eaters to help her out with the problem.. You see Frenchie we missed you so badly that I have taken up posting long stories just to fill in for you... Nice to have you back.. Bl4 I would like to have you as a neighbor . chicken and ducks r welcome... plus it would be nice to have a bakery so close... HI CC where have you been? Anyone heard from Irish lately? Well that should do it for tonight... my fingrs r crampin ZEKE

Zeke, you will have to make it to the bash this year...... JJ too, where the heck is he?

I took a field trip to Growing Oshkosh this afternoon, it is a non-profit aquaponics sustainable urban agriculture group. ;) They have been around for a few years and have slowly been expanding, they are basing their operation from the ideas of Will Allen. Right at the moment they have two hoop houses, one for just plants and one for the fish and plants (which is new this year). They support themselves mainly through the growing and selling of micro greens and sprouts. They take all those fodder mats and compost them down but sometimes a straggler seed makes it through...... I suggested the sell the used fodder mats to their local chicken keepers (since Oshkosh allows chickens) as a feed supplement in the winter time. It was a very interesting afternoon and I learned a lot.

Speaking of dogs...... Columbia County HS posted a young female Boxer today....... she is a dream, beautiful brindle with the blackened face..... I am trying VERY hard NOT to put in for her adoption....... even the DH thought she was a keeper. If I was landing a job in the next week I would pick her up in a heartbeat.

CS, sorry you did not get to meet my elusive oldest, she felt she did not look presentable enough to come down and visit this morning.

Bl4 I was at the camp out last year on friday,,I drove over after work.. I think I left just before you pulled in,,, I think i saw your camper as i was leaving.. I do plan on showing up //at least on fridaynight.. How do you keep up with all the different interests you have... having to work seems to impede my efforts.. A co-worker was telling me about the albino deer he saw in your area recently... do you still see them?

Hey all, was nice running into Zeek today! Would be a comedy for sure :)
Hubby surprised us with dinner and a movie this evening. Was so nice! The kiddos just love that trip to the theatre. We don't go too often. Because it is outrageous.
Got some thi gs accomplished today with the time off. And then the inlaws showed up. Slowi g the work. But was a nice visit.
Kids were pooped. It is good to have them outside more again. Gives me more uninterrupted chore time lol of coarse they always "help" Blake is still young enough that it makes things harder ;)
Does it seem quit jim? How are the new guineas? (Sp) did you get them yet? Can't remember when that was.
MISS go for it. How often do you find just the right dog?
Night all
Tomorrowiscoopscoopdayyaaaaaaayyyyyy.......

Hi All!

Welcome back FT!!!

CS.... congrats on the pup!

TO... long time no see! The last thing I need right now is more roosters! LOL

Jim... If you figure out hens an roos of those guineas, I would like a hen or 2. Right now I have 1 hen and about 8 males!

Guess that's it for now... night all!

You guys are making me homesick. I'm originally from Keshena and Clintonville. I'm stuck in Idaho. Anyways new to the site and just got the family our first four chicks. Building a chicken tractor and it needs to be cheap and durable so any ideas will be welcomed.

Well as most of you could have assumed. Pup made it through the night. I let Gracie out this morning and said Hi to the pup so that he would know that I return and that he can be comforted in knowing that I'll always return.

Its great to see some old "faces" back again.

Still no chicks :(

Got a question:
Found an ad on Craigslist of someone supposedly selling Anconas ducks for $10 in Phillips, WI. Anyone have any experience with the seller/breeder or heard anything of him? Just wondering if I should go for it since we would really like to get a pair. He also listed quite a few chickens too. Haven't heard back from him since we emailed yesterday for pics and info :(

Enablers........ good thing I can't fill out the application online...... where exactly do you think I have room for 4 dogs Cuties????? The little amount of lawn we have left would be shot in a heartbeat...... it would be nice though, then the dogs would be 13, 8, 5, and 1.5.....

Irish was on vacation, I do believe she is back at home now.

Zeke, I am always learning new skills..... I would drive everyone around me nuts if I did not keep busy with something! Which reminds me, I need to order soap making supplies so I can get some made for the Bash, and have it sufficiently cured BEFORE you all take some home. I am no longer employed in Oshkosh so I do not have the opportunity to see the albino deer. I was told that they were part of the little roadside zoo that the gas station had, and they escaped. Good for the deer, it was nice to see them in the evenings on my way home from work.

Lovely morning, had a nice breakfast of bacon eggs and toast.... and of course coffee!

Beautiful day out there today..... enjoy it everyone!
