there are a lot of animals that can beat up a goose, dog, fox (usually kills them) raccoon, maybe it was a small one and couldn't finish her off. a skunk could kill a goose.. but we won't get into that argument again, will we ? a very hungry stupid cat might give it a try ..
I would rule out any chicken..

I just came down here to check on the bators.. Now I am going up to bed..

Stacy, I will PM you tomorrow about the bators.. otherwise, just check the wausau craigs list under Farm and Garden..

Hi All!

Lutz...I agree, as long as she can move her toes and nothing looks like it moved allot, she should be OK. May want to keep her taped up a bit longer. Kitties? Sorry, I have 6 now.

Cats and chickens.... my youngest calls it the "C" virus.

bf4m....Hope Georgie heals up soon!

Getting started on the Green Goop..... Night All!

Update....the chicken must have miraculously healed lt night as she is running around the lil kennel crying "let me out let me out". So headed out to put her with the other kiddos now. And of course it is never easy as I go out yesterday and another wounded bird was pecked in the back side severely. Took me over 2 hours just to get the bleeding stopped. Used the blood clot powder I use on the horses and tha didn't work. Finally dipped her lil arse in flour and wrapped her and worked. My father shld be so proud. Urrr.. why is it always something. And all I ask for is a little sunshine.

Blu-kote can be your new best friend. Last summer, my husbands cousin brought his dog to play I our big fenced area. Did not annnou ce this to us! I look out the window to se her frantically tryi g to kil all of our chickens! She got poor Rae's entire tale. And part of his back. Poor guy looked like the first layer of skin had been ripped off. Wr loaded him with blu-kote. And he was good to go!
I try to keep a coue things on hand that I just might need.
Cs, I yhink you need to move. That is the scariest neighborhood.
Del, I hope you adjust soon.
Bigfam, nice to read you. And I hope goose feel better soon!
Have a good day!

Hark! What lies in yonder sky?! Tis a fiery orb that hath not appeared for a fortnight! O pray thou maintain thy presence o're this depressed land!

Time for another cup of java.
