Had a rough last couple of days. Our 17 year old cat, Socks, has been dealing with renal failure for almost a year. The meds she was on were working great until this past week. We had her admitted on Wed. for an IV flush to help her kidneys but it didn't help.

Well, hopefully Miss Broody is content now.When I went down to check on her 2 other hens were in with her and couldn't seem to get out (she's in a crate with a makeshift cover.) She didn't even flinch when I chased the other 2 out, although I may have 2 extra eggs in there. She also moved them from one corner to the other. Just a control freak I guess. LOL

Had to take Ash (the cat) to the Vet. He came in last night with a badly swollen paw. Looked like it might even be broke. Turns out it was a real bad bite in just the right place. He's on antibiotics and we got to watch him pretty close. could have nerve damage.

That's it..... Night All!


Grrrr..... can't see any meteors....Why is every place I've ever lived blocked out from the north!

You can always leave the hubby behind and come hang out for a while. Just cook some food ahead of time!

I actually had been given that some serious consideration, but I like to be around to make sure hubby doesn't over do it when working around here. He has back issues which is why he had to retire from construction earlier than planned. Sometimes it's hard for him to not get right in there and get what needs to be done. Of course this means I end up on the gopher/clean up crew, or as Rod refers to us the "grunts".

What a sweet looking cat. I am so sorry that you are both suffering. I do hope for the best outcome for all, Socks included.


We have one we are watching hard atm. We got her from the Shelter in Green Bay. The Shelter said she was 5 when we got her, but I think they were wrong. She acts like an older cat. The Shelter also did not know she had no front claws. I already warned my husband that I was not sure what was up with her. She also does what we call "Beached Whale" impressions.

that puppy picture was for David, just to let him know what these puppies look like,, I did not have her yet,, as a matter of fact, that picture was of a male ..

I thought I was going to have to listen to her howl all night, but she shut up shortly after I turned the lights off .. she barked once when Gus barked outside..

I am having a good hatch with my own eggs.. but what a rainbow of colors.. the old rooster must have gotten a few licks in .. I have buff, del, and BLACK ?

I have to take Kalib to work and then drop off some items that Annie forgot to take along to work..
will pick up some glazers and have coffee with her..
I would rather sit out on my lawn and have my coffee.. what a nice day it is already ..

So I have this friend(actually the owner of the skidsteer I broke). Well his mother met this guy on FB and has sent him over 7k in money as he's in love with her blah blah blah. Well the money came from him taking out loans in RL at a place that is charging him 36% interest and now the guy wants another 5k. She also got her younger son to max out his student loans to send this guy money. He's saying he needs the money to come see her and after this next 5k he'll sent them 50k. It's a scam, these people are very naive! I finally got my friend to tell his mother NO, I tried a few times to talk to her that he's using her but she won't listen. She really thinks this is real but it's not. These are very nice people and the only ones who helped us when our house burnt down in 07', but they are not very quick to think. He is bringing me over all the contact info for this "guy" so I can see what I can do. I plan on contacting dateline and the FBI with the info I have. I found out lastnight his mother give the guy my friends(Jim) bank account number and routing as to transfer this 50k he promised but I told him to cancel his account Monday and make sure theirs no money for the guy to take. Does anyone else have any advice? My hubby says "if their that dumb just let them do it" well I can't, they are my friends. Besides she's sending all her disability checks to this guy and has some of her utilities shut off now, she's gotten her sons to put their livelyhood in shambles. She's not a bad person, she's just in her 60's and lonely, very lonely. And the first person to give her attention she's latch on to. I also found out their was another guy before this that did near the same thing just not as much money. Has anyone had this experience with a loved one or friend before? I just want to help them in any way I can as they helped me.

Set 12 more dozen eggs yesterday in the monster so theirs a total of . 18 went into lockdown yesterday all EE and SS I will be taking to the Ricestonian swap along with the 11 SS and 16 prod if the guy doesn't who to pick them up today.

If they are all dumb enough to fall for this scam, there is nothing you can do about it. Sort of the whole 'Can lead a horse to water but can't make them drink." thing. Handing our somebody else's bank account information could land her in jail herself if any money was stolen from that account since she was party to the crime.

BTW your friend will most likely have their account cleaned out by Monday, and he will have a difficult time stopping it since the banks are closed Monday. He would be smart to contact the police now, and as soon as you have the information let the police know as well.

I know this is not what you want to hear but in this situation they can only help themselves.
