Wisconsin "Cheeseheads"

I went to the Dr,, am back, ate, and as soon as I change clothes I will be heading out to the shop..
truck wouldn't start this morning,, It did start after I came back home..

Tell Joe to quit worrying about Cookie and the cold.. your best bet is to leave her outside all the time rather than bringing her in and putting her back out.. both of my dogs lay out in the yard in the rain, snow or whatever.. weather does not bother these dogs.. they use the dog coop too, but they hang their heads out of the door..

some dogs just like it outside.. my brother had an Olde English sheep dog.. his neighbor called the cops on him because the dog had no shelter and was lying in the snow.. when the cops came to his house my brother took them to where the dog was .. she was lying on top of her dog house at minus -10*F ..brother told the cop,, why don't you see if you can get her to go into the house.. End of that situation ...

You are supposed to put the shirt on during comfortable times. Say your Mirama are relaxing on top the dog house and just enjoying life and wearing the shirt they should be associating the shirt with relaxing. And then if they are suddenly into a non relaxing situation it is supposed to help them get I to the relaxed mind set.
I have never tried it. But have heard both it does and does not make a difference.

Hens n Roos I've only had him just a week today...he hasn't been to the vet yet.

Never heard of a thunder shirt...I'll have to look that up. Thanks!

Sad how some dogs can get messed up. He's improving daily but still flinches every time I reach down to adjust his collar/leash. Maybe he needs two weeks of boot camp at Jim's place.

Huntress, good luck! Anti anxiety meds might've a must for a short time. I know he is in good hands and you know what you are doing. Contacting the Springer Rescue for ideas might be helpful. Thankfully the boy I saved did not have those issues, and it was very helpful to have the other two calm, secure dogs around him.

Interviewing a lot lately, not much up here though. I just interviewed at a place in CS's backyard.... a really cool place to work though! Lots of cool lab equipment to play with. :)

No biggie on the Calls Cuties, I better find a few more girls in the spring though or poor Jules is going to be abused by those two males.... ;)

Someone brought a 7 week old German Shepherd puppy into work today. What a cute little stinker. He walked around there like he owned the place. That will definitely he my next breed of dog.

The Ford starts every day. My husband says its a pile. What does he know?

good evening, more or less..

I ran into a real snag with the plucker walked away from it.. thought it through and will be going back at it again,, I can't get the sprockets to line up.. therefore they will not turn,, I am real close, but as soon as I tighten down the bearings, the sprockets won't turn.. I do have a plan, now , though..

I would put a barking collar on the neurotic dog.. I don't think his behavior is pain related..
try to listen for a squealing noise when the furnace blower kicks on.. or whatever coincides with his whining..
our Gus barked in the house once,, he was answering a challenging bark of a dog on TV ..

Hi All!

Huntress.... Sure hope you get that doggies issues worked out.... I have no clue.

BBP.....German Shepherd would be my dog of choice..... if I would ever get a choice.... I think every dog I've had for the last 40 or so years came to me in one way or another

sometimes it seems odd that people go and get a pet on purpose! LOL

Made chili for supper, seems to be lacking something but can't quite pin down what.

The birds have been doing OK, even the bare back ones and the Roosters stuck out in a semi-enclosed pen. Hoping with this bit of warm up I can do better for them.

Night All!

Cindlady, that's how I feel about cats. I never actually go looking for a cat, actually, I don't want any cats. But they always seem to find me. I have one purring by my head right now. I'm very picky about dogs. I've had shelties, an Old English Sheep dog and a golden retriever. My golden is now 10, so I'm at the point where I'm deciding what I want next. He is intact, so I'm considering getting a puppy out of him. But I think now that the kids are bigger I'm ready for a more "serious" dog. We're also considering adding a small/med dog. I may get a pug. My husband wants a boston terrier.
