Hi All!

Happy New Year to all!

Nice pic. of Zeke!

I didn't go with DH to his party. Figured I would just sit in one spot and watch Paul talk to everyone. I hate that, so he said I could stay home.

He went and said he had a good time, I'm glad he did.

Night All!

HAPPY NEW YEAR!

Irish, thanks for posting that picture. Makes me smile.
Well, we did notnmake the new year. Watched a movie and decided 11:30nwas plenty late enough.
The water actually was frozen solid in the barn. But they seem to be handling the cold pretty well.
Poor Thunder is bothered by the way the ground froze. It is so bumpy from them from when everything thawed. He is going slow for sure.
Well, I hope you all have a good new year! And are able to keep all your resolutions.

Sounds like us Melanie, we pooped out about a quarter after 11, friends went home as none of us could stay away. We are such party people..lol. At least we had fun while it did last playing games.

We played a really dumb game called Dirty Minds. The clues are questionable but the answers are normal stuff. We played four games; I won twice then we quit. As soon as my friend's Hubby said "let's just watch TV." I knew that I would be falling asleep. We left at about 11:30, got home and locked up and right to bed for me...I was asleep by 12:05! Yup--we are all such partiers for sure.
Here are my friends and DH at dinner...we had prime rib, twice baked potatoes and broccoli with Holllandaise. It was yummy!

Here is that dumb game...

And here is my creamy cocoa cheesecake...it had a mishap so it wasnt beautiful...but it sure did taste good! LOL.

In chicken news...my second gen Olive eggers are starting to lay. The colors are hard to get in the house, the one on the left is blue, then two first gen, then the second gen on the right. This year I am taking those birds and breeding them back to my Marans Roos to get an even darker olive egg.
Well, I guess that's it for me....I have to go to work soon better get outside!

We went to a steak dinner (yum) and did a couples bowling tournament with a bunch of friends. One of our games won us a prize...for lowest score. I told them if it was golf that would be a great thing. Watched a couple get engaged at midnight (She said yes!) and drove the hour home so we could snuggle with the pups :)

We were up until 2 watching HP movies. We would have gone to bed right after midnight but the youngest DD was working so we had to stay awake until she needed to get picked up.

Terri, the game you should play is Cards Against Humanity......... that is a riot! Totally not PC, but hysterical anyway! BTW that funfetti cake is one from your book. Just a white cake with sprinkles added to the batter.

I suppose I should motivate here (still in the jammies!), the tree needs to be removed from the house and the vacuum needs to make an appearance.

Ciao!

That is a noce egg Terri!

I believe we are all party poopers because we work so much ;)

Hmmm... wonder if Jim made it to midnight now that almost every bird is gone from his place?!
we are headed to town to grab some last few hings to be prepared for Saturday. And cleanup was done here yesterday. Still will have final touches. But he big stuff is done. Sadly we will only have a tiny little tree that Sydney made in school fornhe fam to enjoy. Ours was just too dead. I could not take the mess any longer! So it is gone. Well, not yet. Too windy to light the fire pit.
toodles!
