Hi All!

I think I'm giving up trying to shop at Wal-Hell during "normal" hours. The last couple of months when I have gone all the electric carts were gone or dead. I tried walking a couple of times and ..... well, if they see you on the floor you have to make out a report ... for some reason they don't like people on the floor. LOL I didn't fall per say, I just kinda sunk. Anyway, when I see there is little handicap parking, I just skip it and come back after 10pm. Other than stocking stuff all over, it's rather nice shopping then.

DH's company Christmas party Sat. night. Boring, but I get to have crab!

what do you do with the eggs ? I might be looking for eggs in the late winter/early spring..

Mabel and Ethel.... Had a great time with Sammie(wildsam) lastnight on our road trip. The Iowa Blues are all settled in already and layed an egg sometime overnight. Also the BRLW coop finally give me their first egg but was cracked. The rest should start laying anytime then.(egg on left BLRW on right is Iowa Blue)

Evening everyone!

Yup, road trip is over

and since the water spigot was froze again today I filled the small kiddie pool carrying buckets. While the guys had to start changing oil right there also.

I told em to watch for the birds, but the geese were faster and took a nose dip. So off to catch the geese, who knew that I was out to get them, and get the oil off their beaks. Grrr.

Most of the ducks took a bath without even being interested in the guys or what they're doing, the other half had fun playing in the laid out grass/straw trying to find bugs. Lol.

The 2 new blue Swedish girls are starting to settle in but didn't know what to make of the pools while my special Pekin Sheila didn't even wanna get out anymore! The boy Joey, is just starting to notice them. So we'll have another endangered breed of duck here now.

Other than that nothing new here. The brat is (finally) gonna go back to trucking tomorrow and then peace should set in again. At least I hope so, although I'm surprised he was actually doing stuff and spending money on us here! So far...

Jim, We have 5 guinea and they come with the place. There were 8 last spring but we lost 3 this summer. We have 4 of the grey ones and one white one.
That is about all I can tell you.

Oh yeah, DH say negatory on him ever eating a guinea egg ...
We are not very guinea knowledgeable here.

I do use duck eggs and goose eggs in recipes , though .. just not fried ..
Annie eats anything .. even blue cheese .... I can handle limburger, but not blue ..

to tell the sexes of your guineas, you have to listen to them discreetly .. the ones who make a two tone call are the females.. the males make just a one pitch one note call..

they all make the one pitch one note call when excited ..

the females are talkative and will call for no,,, or any ,,, reason.. the males generally only talk when there is something to say ..

sure is quiet today,,.
I didn't even get any junk mail or facebook.

Hi All!

Dinner was good though I wasn't very hungry. I wound up bringing 2 out of 3 sets of crab legs home and my potato.

Not crazy about fried duck eggs either, but great in baking!
