Wisconsin "Cheeseheads"

Bigfam, that is why I was teasing you about it being broken lolol

Miss, so sorry to hear about the pom. Sadly maybe they should have used the option to put him down before he was suffering so much. It is a hard choice. But I am grateful we have the option to help them along when needed.

He was not suffering in the slightest, I would have chewed her butt good if he was. This was really quick and there was no way he would have ever made it to the vet to be fixed or be put down. Sorry, I did not put all the details in my post. He had a seizure before he passed and I speculate something ruptured or the fluid just backed up too much for him to compensate for.

I should proofread before I hit submit.

Afternoon To Everyone....Nice to see some long lost souls stop by! Thanks for the kind words Robin....you are still the best, you know!

Tough to lose part of the family after that many years bl4. I'm also glad to hear the kids didn't witness the event.

Maybe Jim will take your birds bigfam. Then he can test out his new plucker on them.

Evening all!
Hope everyone is enjoying the warm up, as I see it's supposed to go down mid next week again. Urgh! Not happy bout that, but I guess it's still winter and definitely better than in May (like last year!)!

Sorry bout the Pom, just glad it was over fast and not as severe as could have been for the kids. It's not easy to lose a beloved pet, but sometimes it's just better to remember the good times had together...

After several attempts of trying to have SO help me with separating and planning for the duck breeding season I had it all sorted out and working fine. For an entire 3 days! Then I left for town again yesterday, and of course he told me at the daily check in that he put them all back together, since they weren't as docile and cooperating as before and he didn't have the time in the morning to deal with it...

So now I gotta go back tomorrow and start again from scratch. But he can't help me with it (as he says) cause his main priority is making fire wood.

When I asked him why he wouldn't have time to help me 15 minutes to plan last summer, "that wasn't a priority then" and maybe now in the evening when he only watches reruns of reruns of reruns on TV, he doesn't have the time.. GAH!

and now suddenly he feels the need to build pens inside the dark barn... Really?!?

And of course at the end of next week the brat will be coming back to mess up the daily routines again too. And how am I doing you ask?! Just PEACHY!!

*vent end*

Sorry, had to get that off my chest... Just frustrated right now as he wants to keep pushing everything back for later til he finds that "later" is here and it needed to be dealt with about 2-3 weeks ago. Sometimes I just wanna up and quit, but then I look at my duckies and simply submerge myself with them. I sure hope this year is gonna start being better SOON!

Hi all!
I'm new to BYC and especially this thread.
I was wondering if anyone here raises rabbits for meat? I'm thinking of starting so I have some variety to chicken meat. ;)

Welcome!

Rabbits are something my DH would like to raise, in addition to our chickens and turkeys. I told him it is something he will have to do, as I am busy enough doing the chores (and working full time) as it is.

Good luck!
