I've never heard that one before! I could always ask him to have it checked out at his next visit to the doc.Chikenscratch, a nurse recently told me that when older folks fall inexplicably, it's "often" due to a urinary tract infection. For some reason in older folks the UTI causes balance issues instead of the "usual" symptoms.
Jim- my dad had his gym shoes on. I can only figure that there was some ice from someone's shoes on the stair. The stairs in the mudroom are painted concrete and must get slippery....or he has a UTI like mophead suggested? No bruising as of last night and he is feeling better today. Any suggestions as to how we could make them non-slippery for the future?good evening,
not much happening to write about..
what is a porous egg ?
was your dad walking with just socks on ? or was it outside ?
I hardly ever wear shoes in the house and I have slipped on the stairs a few times.. never fell, though. I did walk down the stairs in the dark once and thought I was at the bottom,, started walking as if I was on the floor and fell off the first step,, Now I turn on the lights.
the soft spot on the ice is often on the head of the driver.. Winnebago claims a car or two every year.. there are a couple of trucks here in Lake Wausau that they never have located.. luckily, there are no bodies in them,,

We also got snow, but as Bay peepers said it will melt soon. I'm already planning my garden and perusing catalogs. I've gotta have something to get me through February.
DH and I are planning a trip over the kids Spring Break. We are thinking cruise or just a flight to somewhere warm....Caribbean most likely. Any suggestions?
Chickens are ready to get out, but won't come out. I think the rabbits are ready for them to be out too! I'm wanting to get some fertile eggs in February, assuming my broody keeps sitting. I'm thinking of getting some hybrids again. Will anyone have sex-link or star eggs in February? Australorps, easter eggers, & welsummers would be great also!
