Wisconsin "Cheeseheads"

Also, what about de-worming?

And what type of critters wreak the most havoc around here?

Do you heat your hen houses?

Do fish sleep?

Why is the sky blue?

I haven't vaccinated for anything, but I do deworm mine every 6 months now. I use safeguard liquid wormer for goats.

The predators I see the most here are hawks, racoons, and coyotes. Though I have seen the occasional fox.

I have a heat lamp hooked up to turn on around 20 degrees. I'm looking in to the heat panels for next year. Most people say they don't it's just a preference of mine I suppose.

Fish sleep...with one eye open...maybe.

Today the sky is not blue...but a rather boring shade of gray.

What brought you from AZ to WI? Most people would want to do the opposite :)

good afternoon,

skunks, raccoons , foxes, owls, hawks, coyotes and the neighbor's dog who he claims would never kill a chicken..

I plowed just the parking area just now.. didn't really have to, but I got to keep Ollie limbered up for when he is really needed ..

going to make chili for supper..

where does the white go after the snow melts ?

where does your lap go when you stand up ?

did you hear about the young couple who got their Vaseline and window putty jars mixed up ?
all of their windows fell out ..

Cabin Fever Afternoon as well here....I thought de-worming is what the fish do to your hooks when they aren't sleeping? Never done it here...never seen any ever, so why over medicate?

Just took the Christmas tree down. Still holding needles pretty well. I'll prop it by the birdfeeder for the song birds to use for a perch.

Suzie made a ho-made pecan pie. I enjoy them, and they don't last long around here. Having a Leinies Big Butt Doppelbock...not strong enough for me, or bitter enough for that real beer taste that bock should have. I think they should call it smallbutt simplebock.

Venzun stroganoff over a bed of brown rice tonight...with a large piece of pie.

I have not had issues with diseases or worm, pests...so I don't treat.

I agree with all stated already for chicken killers.

I heat the water once temps dip below freezing and heat the coop if temps go below zero. I only have one lamp available instead of heating the entire coop.

Fish sleep in the freezer!

The sky is blue because it isn't any other color.

Tough day at work. Had to move a bunch of fridge, freezers, flammable cabinets, etc. Tomorrow is box unpacking. Five days left to get the building & labs functional.

I don't know how much fightin' over old fart balls there would be, there generally beat up and wore out, even their bags are stretched out pretty bad.

A rare (for around here) Bobcat got 2 of my turkeys and a cat.

I heat the water and have an oil (radiator type) heater for when it's single digit or less temps, but it's only on hot enough to give them a warm spot if they need it.
