I was out on the deck this morning in bare feet - YAY!! I hope spring is finally about to make an appearance here! It's going to be muck boots and cleaning puppy paws for awhile but that's OK!

Melty Afternoon all. One of the guys at church has all his trees tapped jj and said yesterday that sap wasn't running cause the frost is still in the ground. He has a huge business and sells the sap to places that buy it.

Accomplished cutting down a few trees at Camp today. Good thing we got er done today, cause after a few trips we were making some good ruts and had to quit with the hauling, but got a lot bucked with 3 saws running.

I started collecting eggs for hatching today...hope the weather keeps em laying. I don't like to collect and save more than 10 days. Hopefully my roo is doing his job.

We borrowed some mink traps and scent from a friend so hopefully we will soon be mink-less. The girls aren't too wild about being relocated to the garage. And DH & I are still sick so that doesn't help any.

I have been thinking about Zeke lately too. He sure was a bright spot on a cloudy day. I miss his laugh.

ET started cleaning our sap buckets so should be getting the trees tapped soon. Little bit further up here so hopefully we have more time yet.
My a Lavender Australorp eggs and Lavender split/Cinnamon Queens are shipped and are on their way here. My BBS and Lavender Split Ameracauna eggs are delayed due to hens going on strike because of rain....
Oh well.
