Wisconsin "Cheeseheads"

CC, Dutch is from Wausau, just a few miles from me,,
here is where I would say, "sad when the mind goes" but I won't ..because I am turning over a new leaf and not teasing any more..

Oh man...I agree with Cuties...why would you do that?

Thanks BigZ, hadn't thought of that. Assumed the coop would be IN the "rectangle". Also thinking about making a little day pen that we can move around and keep them in when we are outside gardening, etc. Hoping it gives them a little variety and excitement to have an outing

I was thinking the same thing as Jim....put the coop walls on the cement and make runs around it. I am picturing 4 separate runs to alternate so the grass doesnt turn to mud! I HATE my small coops (all 4 of them) they are difficult to catch birds in, clean and move around! THe big coos are so much better!

@Cindlady I am not so sure about your maid service there, may make more of a mess than it cleans up.
Maid service HAHAHA! I love that!

OK--have a great night! TErriO

well what a night this was..
The Asian lady did show up with 200 eggs.. I will be setting them tomorrow..

and the nicest lady and her daughter just drove all the way here from Whitewater to pick Shadow up and take her to her new home,, they just left,, a 3 1/2 hour drive..

but they stayed and we had a very pleasant visit,, she showed us pictures of their mini farm..Big House, Big barn and a few extra out buildings..

It was a little difficult to let Shadow go, but she will be in a really nice place..

Hi All!

Jim... If you approved of Shadow's new home I'm sure she'll be happy. I would bet you got their number to check up on her too

Good Friday everyone!

Sad day yesterday, I officially resigned from the University. It has been a great (almost) 8 years.

Crazy weekend here, my brother and his family are visiting for Easter, so things are a bit hectic. Going to the swap at the fairgrounds tomorrow, it is going to be VERY difficult NOT to purchase any ducks!!!!

Time to motivate. Second cup is almost finished.

Good Fish Fry Friday to everyone too!

Great advice Robin....been a while since you had a frenchie post full of knowledge worth sharing.

Go ahead and get some ducks bl4.....keep em at your place till they make you move them to the in laws again. Stir up a little action in town for the fun of it.....

The yard is finally not squishing under my feet...things are looking up.

I would also use some preparation H after you wash the vent with soap and water Kris....gently push the vent back in place, isolate the hen and keep her in a darker area to keep her from laying if possible...a nice warm place would help also.....good luck...one never knows how they will recover..and some don't.

later...bigz

Aw Jim, sorry about Shadow :/ but glad she is in a great home.
it was cleaning day here!!! Man did the upstairs need it!
And off to the swap to hang with Miss tomorrow! Can't wait! Probably won't find anything. I remember it being super small last year. But who knows.........

If anybody is attending and would like to buy some BLRW chicks just lmk :)

With the 1st broody, 4 out of 5 ( 3 bcm/lb mix ...and 1 bcm/? ).
All appear to be doing well. This is crunch time for my business...so very little time for the coop.

2nd broody ( LB) is doing well. ( 4 bcm/lb & 1 bcm/oe )
