So glad Syd found a nice Holland! Once I get the babies out of the brooder I may want to get a few more from you.

I went to Chicago on Friday to pick up my mom at the airport - she stays with us during the summer months. While I was there the hubs called to tell me something attacked the chickaroos in the middle of the afternoon. Two dead and two missing. One Bantam dead and one missing. Eleanor Rigby dead and the rooster missing. Lots of feathers but no blood around the dead ones (two different locations) and no feathers from the missing. Plenty of suspects. I think the hubs felt bad that it happened on his watch. I'm still thinking the two missing birds could be hiding out as I once had a raccoon get in a coop of Bantams and some of them hid in the wood pile for a couple of days before they came out again.

I hope you find the 2 missing birds alive and well real soon.

I hope the hubs doesn't beat himself up too bad about it. It is a hard thing to have to deal with but there is no guarantee it wouldn't have happened had you been there. Hugs to you both.

Hi All!

I didn't go to the swap. I didn't have a place to quarantine adults and chicks would have to be vaccinated for Marak's.

Irish.... sure hope you find the missing! Sorry about Elenore Rigby and the other one.

Nothing new here.... Night All!

Aw Irish :,(
sounds to me just like when the neighbors dog would come in to our fence. I wouldmbe aware of one hanging around.
And definitely to more chickies for you.
Lovin Easter morning here :)

I hope you all have a wonderful Easter day!

Happy Easter everyone!!!!

Irish, so sorry to hear about your babies..... There is another swap on the 11th at the fairgrounds if you want replacements.

Ham is cooking away..... breakfast sounds pretty good right now.....
