Wisconsin "Cheeseheads"

The above chicks were hatched on Easter. The lavender australorp is the one who's wings have taken off ! NOT in these pictures. I have to take a picture if the wings yet. I wasn't able to post for a week !
Oh and Mel.....I hadn't even read your post when I replied ! LOL

Jj....cute chicks....yep that little guy looks like a trouble maker.
Oh and my other three chicks are....1 EE from my coop and 2 cinnamon queen/lavender ameraucanas from shipped eggs. So they will be EE as well. Hopefully bigger eggs like they hatched from.

Cuties.....what breed ate your adorable chickies? Great hatch for shipped eggs. What state did they come from?

Put 30 some eggs in lock down tonight.
CC your lavender Orp roos are gonna be papas! At least I think so....unless my one black ameraucana roo snuck in with the girls. Not sure which hen laid the eggs I'm incubating but they lay a X large egg. Could be an EE (that is laying a brown egg) an Australorp or a buff Orp.
I also have a California White Leghorn (white with black spots) that is due to hatch next weekend. Think your boys got to her as well.
Of course my own eggs are doing well. Shipped eggs so so. Have to say my new incubators are working good now.

Hi All!

No Chicks yet... I will call later today.

Cute chicks everyone!

I did not see a post from Terri, here of facebook, a bit worried about that.

Nothing else here.... Night All!

Hope everything turns out ok TerriO.

My Swedish Flower Hens just started laying, only one egg the past 2 days now waiting on the other 3 pullets to start giving me some eggs. Along with a few other breeds that should start soon: Blue Laced Red Wyandotte Bantams, Salmon Faverolles, Speckled Sussex, Buff Brahma Bantams, New Hampshire Reds, White Wyandottes and more. One of my cabinets is completely full so I filled the Brinsea with Snowflake and Giant Bobwhite along with 1 dozen bantam eggs. Next is to get the other cabinet I've been using as a hatcher ready to fill with more eggs. I will have to start setting up some styro's to do hatching in, I have 3 Little Giants and a few home mades if I run out of room. And if absolutely necessary I'll have to fire up the 2 Industrials I have wired in that I got from Jim last year. I'm running out of room here in my "chicken room" with many chicks growing out and haven't been doing well medically to get my poultry building worked on. We did get one wall covered this week(Tyler and I). Hope to get some help from the kids here this weekend to get more work done on it so I can start moving birds out and in their proper place. Ducks are finally moved outside and loving their ponds to forage and play in and I no longer have the stinky mess in here.

Very cute jj. What breed is penguin?
I would like to see. Pic Frenchie

I have blue egg laying hens and roos that are ameraucana, buff orpington(free to a good home) and 5 TOED buckeye.

We incubated all blue eggs.

the yellow guys might be buff or wheaton. the 2 darkies could be anything.

good morning,

Stacy, I want to be first in line for some Swedish Flowers.. The lady I sold Shadow to is wanting some,, she is patient about it, so whenever ,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,

BirdMan, how can you tell the chicks are show quality already ? you meant potential, right ?

I took two stinkys out of the hatching tray last night,, down to 116 eggs in there, now.
tomorrow is the due date.. I am apprehensive about this hatch,, I used new thermometers, so I am not sure about the temperature .. sort of sure, but will know when they hatch,,,,,or not ..

got the jointer project done, today I am going after the planer.. all I have to do is change the 3 knives.. a 20 minute job, that will take me all afternoon, I am sure ..

A friend is coming out to work on Annie's car,, brake work ..

I have to take a trip down to the garden,. if it is dry enough I want to drag it for the first time,,
I like to work it up at least 3 times before I start planting ,,

Sounds good Jim, I'll update as they progress on here. Some other breeds that I will have are Speckled Sussex, Blue Laced Red Wyandotte LF and Bantam, Iowa Blue, Salmon Faverolle, Easter Eggers, Silkie, Cochin Bantam, Buff Brahma Bantam, Speckled Sussex Projects also once get a little older I'll be weeding out my Cream Crested Legbar & Rhodebar chicks and a few others like Favaucanas. I have a ton of Layer mix in bator now to hatch around the 25th along with a bunch of Bantam EE mix. Also Toulouse geese and possibly quail. I'm sure I'm forgetting some but these are the main ones. I'm looking for a Buckeye cock/roo or I will be getting rid of the 3 hens that I have. Also have a small batch of LF mix cochin to hatch the same time. pm me if your interested in anything or fb me(Headache Ranch Poultry) Sorry don't mean to be advertising but in case someone is looking for a certain breed.
