Thank you for that information. Just went out to the coop and she had climbed the ladder and is laying on the floor of the coop. Probably will be full of chicken poo tomorrow a.m. with the others on the roost above her. So, I guess, she must be able to get around.....we now have her named-Gimpy.

Thanks for all of the condolences for Tommy...I cleaned out his inside pen today and it looks pretty lonely in here...maybe I will bring his daughter in...She seems pretty friendly..maybe if I give her a sip of my drink?

Sorry for the other losses! That pic looks just like the fox I have here--I dont have a working fun ATM. I think I will be getting a new one. She had a whole litter last year across the road and my flock paid! New development...on the neighbor's lawn today was one of my Toulouse geese--sans head and a foot and half of the body! I have no idea--this is a BIG bird! Maybe his dog got crazy? I hate it because he has a pond and where do geese like to go? YUP.

We have a Gimpy, too! We had a hen break her leg. We put a splint on it, kept her in a chicken tractor for two weeks (in the pasture with the rest of the flock). Removed the splint last week and let her out of the tractor. I really have to watch close to be able to pick her out.
