We moved our broody call duck tonight. Lets hope she sticks...... and we will have baby fuzzy butts waddling around here. She went early this year. Last year she waited until late summer.

Yep, lockdown day here too...17 out of 24 made the grade...nice boy with the girls makes me happy...and with junior in the winners circle today...I'm just happy as can be tonight...what a great win for him today.....I gotta say it again....SWEET!

Celebration dinner tonight! Oldest was accepted to College! Grilled beef tenderloin with Gorgonzola cheese and sautéed onions, and some herbed potatoes and peas to go along with.

Beautiful day! Got the Christmas lights down and got my pond in order. Did a little fishing trying for White bass but nothing was biting. Back to the grind tomorrow!

jim is alive and well,, computer problems seem to be fixed,, except that I am still not getting notified when people post ..

the garden got it's first rain last night,, I think we got only a fraction of an inch of moisture.. but it all helps.. I would have had to water for hours with the hose to get that much moisture ..

my plum tree is about to burst into bloom,, I should take a picture of it.. there are 4 very small trees close to it and they look like they are going to bloom also.. the large one was a wild one that I brushed out around .. I trimmed the lower branches so I could ride the mower underneath .. One of the smaller trees I bought from Jung in St Point about 3 years ago.. It didn't take off real well, but it seems to be doing OK now.. I needed two trees for pollination.. the other 3 small trees shot up from runners from the large tree.. after they are well established, I will pick one and cut the other two down..

I have a couple of chicks in the incubator.. there are duck eggs in there, too,, not due for a couple more days..

I also have a stinky,, will have to locate it and toss it..

Sunny Day to everyone...not much rain here either but any rain helps with it being so dry.

I'm gonna fire up the grill for a chuck roast tonight..Cajun veggie dish made with green beans, carrots, a ton of sharp cheddar cheese and onions and croutons on top....plus a baked potato.

Great work day. Sunshine & the dust knocked down from last nights rain. Only downside is a new hatch of ticks. Didn't keep count on how many I've had in the last 2 days. Only a couple of them were deer ticks. Chicks are doing great....down to one broody sitting on 4 eggs. Will float them in a day or two.
This was my OE...who had issues staying on eggs early on.
