Wisconsin "Cheeseheads"

Just leaving the Bash; had a great time like usual, and it was so nice to see everyone. The raffle was a lot of fun, and of course the White Elephant had the usual multi-swapping going on. The food was amazing again, and almost everything was Gluten Free!

Those of you who could not make it, you missed meeting some really great people and a good time.

I finally made it to the bash! It was nice to meet up with more cheesehead chicken people! I got there so late that I missed some of you - CC, that was me going in the gate as you were leaving. Maybe next time!

I am here and OK.
just busy and not much to report..

pups are doing fine,, two weeks old today..

the goats were on the deck when we got home yesterday,, I have to make a walkabout to see where they got out of the fence..
they are back in the peacock pen again..

today I am working on the gas weeder.. (Mantis type tiller)
I tested the gas on the spark plug,, It wouldn't burn even with a flame under it..

will be putting a new plug in and probably will be ripping the carburater apart before I am done..

I didn't go to the bash,, Annie had to work and somebody has to be here to let Frankie out and in to be with her pups..

I see that a lot of people bailed out at the last minute.. It happens every year..

Oh the joys of having goats. That is the one reason I have been putting my son off for 4 years now on getting one as the older kids did have a few when they were younger along with sheep and hoping to never have either again but I went and made a deal with Tyler that he completed and backfired in my face.

Really bummed that we missed the bash. ET is still hacking away. I'm not as bad as he is but my toothache managed to pop it's ugly head again. Made a decision to call dentist tomorrow and have it pulled. I refuse to spend $2000 on a root canal and cap without a lifetime guarantee ! No dental insurance sucks !
Sad news something got my silkie/cochin rooster the other night. Any idea? Warning pretty gruesome picture. Ate a hole through the back and emptied cavity. Left a feathered mess. Head intact.

I would suspect a small animal,, probably a rat ..

where is everybody ?

we had just a touch of frost last night..
I think that is it for this spring..

I will be turning the little chicks loose into the yard as soon as they don't fit through the diamond shaped holes in the cyclone fence .. I figure just about some time this week..

the neighbor just cut the hay in our field.. Annie stole an armload of alfalfa and gave it to the goats..
I put the goats on craig's list .. make an offer $$$$ ..

I am going to change the valve stem on that tire .. if it still leaks, I am going to put a tube in it..

The bash was awesome, but we did have a smaller crowd this year. Nathan and I slept in the cabin this year and it was a perfect alternative to camping out with the chance of rain and the temps dropping. It was great seeing everyone and the smaller crowd made it possible to get to know everyone better.

Cindy-the quill set that I got from you made it here intact

Same with the eggs and plants Terri

Well, laundry is well on its way and everyone has showered and eaten. I'm gonna hop onto facebook before I turn in for the night.

Good night all,

Kendra
