Wisconsin "Cheeseheads"

this is looking south, the same way as the row of pines .
only this is on the West side of the walnut grove.
the trees to the right are my wind break.
the greenery in the foreground at the left of the driveway is one of our blackberry patches.
the tall trees in the background are some of the walnut trees.
the lone tree at the end of the driveway is a plum tree.
there are 3 smaller ones close to it that don't show up in the picture
the grass along the driveway from the blackberries to the plum tree is my "front lawn"
then I have the "park" lawn,, along the pine trees on the East side of the walnuts.
then I have "around the house" lawn
and then I have "behind the garage" lawn..

so , if you are ever driving down my road and see this, you will know it is my place, so stop in for a visit.
my yard is about 2 acres.

BTW, we planted everything on our yard. it was a bare cow pasture when we built our house..

I found it,, this is the yard from the road.
you can see the pine row in front of everything.
that tall tree on the right is right next to the deck on the house. yes, my house is buried in this picture.
the greenery in the foreground is the hayfield.
on the very right edge of the trees is the corner of one of the chicken coops
the trees way to the right are back along the river..

and this concludes this portion of the tour..

Speaking of building houses. We're selling ours soon and building another. Hate to lose my sweet spot on the river, but we'll make enough off of this one to build our next one for free. We'd be crazy not to do it. Plus, I want a wrap around porch. Lol

Hope you get your pole shed with the chicken room sooner than this one. ;-)

Fish Fry Friday to everyone. It was fun to have the outsider cooker going again. Haddock and fries tonight.

Thanks for the offer irish, but I already bought my seed potatoes, otherwise I would take you up on the offer!

Worked down at Camp yesterday. We have the empty wood shed full again, and the ashes dug and moved from the firepit...it was full to the top......sounds like we are gonna make one more row of cement pavers around the pit, for even more chair space on the pavers.

Time to lock up the birds....bigz

Three weeks old tomorrow. In garage, moved to larger cobbled together box this morning. Need to put in a brighter light as it is much higher in this set up. Bodies feathered out, just neck and head left to go.

Just curious. Is the back middle a male or a female? Are its legs more light colored or more black? I'm thinking female, but I want to know what you think, because I have some that look just like it. :)

Just about done with my pvc chicken tractor for my first attempt at meat chickens. I needed something light that my mom can move because she's my chicken keeper when I need a sitter it's actually pretty cool. It's 10x5 and 2 feet tall. Cost about 35 dollars with the netting.
