Wisconsin "Cheeseheads"

We had Thai last night at home. Splurged on shrimp to go with our green papaya salad and peanut noodle bowls. Glad my kids are adventurous eaters, it was tasty.

CS,any chance that the two of them could have eaten something?

My first thought would be worms. chickens don't get egg bound very often, and just as often it is mis-diagnosed.

we had Chinese for supper too. Chicken teriyaki.
from a package, not ho-made..
funny thing about soy sauce,, I never know how much is the
proper amount to sprinkle on. I douse it pretty heavy.

Corey, without heat you wouldn't have sickly pigs.
You would have dead pigs.

My lav orp is still alive and is moving a bit more. Still has droopy wings, comb and just is not herself. She is hanging around the waterer (anything related to thirst?) which is where the other died, but she was is the nest box to sleep last night. So she is moving around, standing not sitting now. Her breathing seems less labored. She is drinking which is good because I added kombucha to it which functions like ACV. Also, I'm going to make FF and added some herbs to it. Any suggestions? Based on what I've read, I've added oregano, parsley, sage and rosemary.
GG72-I don't think so. The are in a contained area with the dog.

Wish I could offer some help cs, but to diagnose what's wrong is really tuff. If it's only those two bothered by the dog, then that's a option seeing they were outside and not really going in the coop on their own...seems logical to me. Checking the vent for egg bound is easy enough with rubber gloves and some preparation H for a lubricant...you don't need to use much....otherwise a broad spectrum medicine like sulmet works for bacterial infections, but then you have egg withdrawl time I believe if I remember right. GOOD LUCK!

I'm in Aruba and I saw this guy today in the middle of nowhere, selling some kind of food. He had one single rooster with him. I almost stopped the car and said "I like your cock", but he was probably in his 60s and maybe wouldn't have thought it was funny.

Oh come on bbp...being 60 isn't dead...it's being 60...just wait and see how your thinking will adjust to the time change. It's not like a time window of any sort.

so we got the pigs home. Instead of the calf hitch we set up the heavy chicken tractor in the garage for them for a few weeks ciz they're smaller than I thought. About 15-20 pounds apiece. So dang cute. I'll post pictures when I go back out. My phone was dead

corey , be careful. those guys can grow on you and you might end up buying a pig to butcher..

It seems to me that somebody else on here got some pigs.
I haven't seen the post about how tasty they turned out to be

Morning all. I thought I just might get on here before Jim this morning and it seems ole sleepy head is in bed still.
Well one of my blk orps adopted the speckled sussex eggs I got in yesterday! And my lav orp has passed on. Since I've now had 2 die, hopefully no more, what should I look for in the autopsy? My lav orp almost seems to have had a sour crop. She was drooling so I tipped her quickly upside down a few times to get the stuff out, but when she gave out this morning she had a bunch of liquid (some clear and some cloudy) come out. I did a check yesterday for impaction and couldn't feel an egg.
