Paid 50 bucks apiece for these prebuilt frames. I think I'm gonna take measurements off them just in case I wanna build another shed and save a few bucks. I don't see more than 10 dollars in materials per frame

measure carefully. and I agree , not $50.oo worth for sure.

I built a full sized garage in that style.
for the roof:
I made it so that by cutting a 16 ft 2 x 6, flipping the top member and butting it right back into the cut, there was no waste at all.
it was so long ago, please don't ask me what the angle was that I cut. I used gussets to fasten that joint together.

In my run, I have lots of dwarf fruit trees & dense shrubs scattered about. I also like to set used pallets on logs or concrete blocks for the flock to use as cover or shade if they need it. (If you don't mind the redneck look). I have had zero attacks from above in 15 years, although a falcon did once land just outside of the fence. A few coons have scaled the fence but the birds were already locked in the coop. I did have a mink attack a few years ago. That sucked big time.
I love the redneck look, never would have occurred to me to do that with my extra pallets, I just keep making compost bins.

Jim, I will drop them off after church on my way home. The potatoes that is, not the pallets...

good morning,

thank you GG for the sweet potatoes.
they wouldn't fit in a 2 quart canning jar, so Annie found me 2 half gallon jars. perfect..
I haven't figured out where to put them yet. I filled the jars with quite warm water. I will dump out some water each day and reheat it with more warm water..

I am thinking I might be able to fit the jars into the 1202 incubator.
then I should have no problem maintaining 85F.
will have to rig up a grow light in there too.

I will be leaving in a few minutes to pick up the pick up.
I don't need the truck so much,, but I do need the tools in it.

Obviously too gorgeous out for people to be on here. I am only in taking a quick break. Been getting 11 eggs almost every day. Can't wait to color some of the banty eggs this year. I think they will be adorable. Picked about a pound or so of mushrooms off of our logs today. Probably 75-100 still growing on the logs. Going to be a great year for them. Still haven't found homes for all my extra strawberry plants so I guess I will just put in a 5th bed of them. I will have about 125-130 sq. feet of solid berry plants. Tried a new cake recipe yesterday that was a really nice change and had a fresh berry filling between layers. Rhubarb bars next as the rhubarb is up nicely. I love this time of year!

Corey, do what my hubby does, say you want to check on something in the hunting/fishing isle. I find him there when I am ready to check out.

I don't mind going with Annie for groceries. I push the cart. she knows where everything is in all of the supermarkets.
what I dislike with a passion is having to go myself. I don't know where anything is..

finally, all of the chickens layed on the same day, 5 eggs.
I knew there were 5 because of the different size and shapes.
but only 4 laid on most days..

I got the pu truck home. with the right tools it took me only 5 minutes to get that last tooth off.

Now to re-install a few teeth in their correct locations.

it rained here lightly and briefly while I was taking that last tooth off..

I like your hubbys style! I really don't mind the store so much just the people sometimes I tell ya. It didn't rain a whole lot here either. Boy the frogs are making a racket tonite. Lovin that. Even gonna crash with a window open

Corey, did you have to get up and close your window at about
1:15 AM ?

We got the storm at 12:55 AM. it lasted until about 1:15 AM
It was a noisy one. I didn't see any damage , but I wasn't outside
yet.

just now we had a lightning strike real close to the house.
