update on the late hatchers...
22 new late chicks.

a few of them are going to be culls, as expected for late hatchers.
but 18 of them are just fine.

they are in the extra bator with feed and water.

My neighbor called today wondering if I had a rooster loose. We both have chickens and she actually has a roo that my girls hatched from last year. Anywhoo, I go to the fence and take a look and it is a very pretty boy, but not mine. I am afraid our little corner may have become a rooster dumping ground. I am not letting them in with my girls as I am already over capacity with roosters and worry about disease. Suggestions?

had to go pick up Kalib from work early this morning, his car pooped the bed last night.
alternator, I think..
anyhow we stopped at dunkin donuts for one of their good cuppa's and donuts.
I like their coffee, not too crazy about their donuts. I used to bake at a Dixie Creme donut shop, so I got spoiled..

Jordan is coming this afternoon to pick up the stragglers. there are 22 of them.
this turned out to be an amazing hatch..

I have to run in to the VA for labs in a few minutes. better go get cleaned up.

That's horrible. Afraid that will happen to me one day. Everyone In The neighborhood knows I have chickens and I am double over the city limit bit know one cares. Ding dong drop chickens I have heard it's the curse of chicken ownership.

I had a trio of porcelain bantams dropped into my chicken yard one time

I know where they came from because I was with Darrell when he bought them at an auction a few months ago.

OK , it is raining, so don't try to tell me that you are working outside.

that gives me an idea. I have four too many roosters. I know a couple of places close by where I could dump them off.. hmmm...

waiting for Jordan to show up for these 22 late hatchers.

I accidently took a chunk out of a duck egg. there is a fully formed duck in it. I left it in the bator, but I think it will die.. whoops

I was going to put some fish emulsion on the tomatoes , but not while it is raining, tomorrow will be soon enough.

BTW. how do we send a PM with this new system ??.

Just getting home from work. On overtime for eternity it looks like. Got my new breaker box put in today and tomorrow the furnace guy comes and puts the new board in my furnace and boom!! We'll be back at 100% operational after the lightening strike a couple weeks ago.

Well my neighbor put out food and water for him. I am not even risking it as I have WAY more roosters than I need.
