Angie works on the Rez as a forester there...she had a encounter with a sow and 4 cubs today....I've seen 3, but never 4...just sayin.
Welcome to the cheeseheads apan.
I got all the teeth on the cultivator/chisel plow.
got rained out before I could tighten all the bolts.
if it keeps raining every 12 hours, I will never have to water the garden again.
good corn growing weather, though.
this is the first time my sweet corn is taller than some of the field corn I have seen..
Yep Jim she usually gets the call to go out west and fight the fires, but not so far this year. I'll have to ask her what's up with that.
Thunder and rain as I type this....unbelievable is all I can say!
We had 2.25 inches in the rain gauge this morning. My garden is thriving and for once I have really nice grass in the yard at this time of year. We have lots of sand so we usually get a burn off at this point.
good cool morning,
I went outside for a minute. it felt good out there
Not real good drying weather, but we can take it for just one day..
today I will tighten up all the bolts on the drag teeth. maybe by this afternoon the dirt in the new patch will be dry enough to turn it over for the first time..
no sand here, clay with bedrock near the surface.. there is a reason there is a hill here.
once we get all the surface rocks picked and it is just dirt for about the top 12 inches. we can supplement the dirt and make some pretty good growing medium..
this is the 4th time I moved our garden.
one good thing, the mineral content is very good. just have to work on making the soil more plant friendly..
Sonja, you need a nice rooster or two..
come pick them out.. FREE !!!
........jiminwisc....
4 1/2 hours and nobody is awake yet ?
i tried dragging the new strawberry spot. still too wet.
I came back and repositioned the spring teeth . gave them more space between each other.
I will wait until really late this afternoon or until tomorrow before I try dragging that ground again.
I have been in the garden weeding and picking. Cut 2 heads of broccoli, a bunch of zucchini, bunch of peas and beans, and the first few cukes. Did the last tie up on the tomatoes. I am at the very top of the posts and they are starting to top that. Tomatoes are getting to be about tennis ball size but not red yet.
Did some volunteer weeding at the botanical garden since they have an event coming up, and then some of my own. Done with sales for the week from my space, had a gal who wanted to buy bulk for juicing. She could have taken a few more pounds of beets but I could not talk her into it.
Hens seem to be molting? I don't see bare patches, but there are feathers everywhere in the coop and I only had 4 eggs yesterday. Still don't need a roo.
Ton of things on my to-do and I have a feeling not enough time. All must be done before 2 as hubby has planned a surprise trip out of town for our anniversary. 22 years tomorrow, I still kinda like him.
Sonja's got a boyfriend, Sonja's got a boyfriend...
Is he taking you to Merrill to see the tall buildings ??
it didn't rain last night, but it didn't dry out very much either. it looks like next Monday and Tuesday will be good drying days..
I listed the puppies on Puppy Finder..
That goes internationally..
Once we had somebody from New Zealand
respond. Can you imagine what shipping would cost ??
just shipping from Kansas to Madison cost me about $500.oo for a puppy..
So far we never had to ship any..
We have dogs in New York state, New Jersey, Pennsylvania , the UP, western and northern Minn. Illinois .. all of these people came and picked up the pups.
