Wisconsin "Cheeseheads"

yup, no snow , except the plowed up snow banks. the little river through the back yard has dried up. no snow in the field up the hill to melt and feed it..

I took the picture yesterday..

It seemed to me that older chickens faced more issues getting introduced to the flock than younger ones.

If they could be let loose to free range, they went..
the biggest issue the young birds had was around the feed pan. if there is plenty of feed, they would eventually get their share.

Good morning to you all. Jim if this is a recent picture, it looks like all of your snow has melted? How about you BBP?
I still have some snow in my yard. But it should be gone in the next couple of days. I'm battling a fox again. I sat up the other night and took a shot at him with the 20 gauge. He was running, it was dark and I had never touched a shot gun before. You can guess the outcome. I have a bruise on my shoulder and my ears did not appreciate the noise. I'm going back to the papoose. At least I can hit them.

foxes always win at first.

It is raining here. I am finally getting at sorting and collecting tools.

Annie bought me a nice steel tool box at a rummage sale. $14.oo had lots of nice tools inside.
several of the tools were worth more than the $14.oo she paid for the whole shebang.
the tool box retails for around $50.oo..
SCORE !!

I am looking to buy a used table saw. I don't need another saw, but I do need an electric motor for my wood lathe..

Back from the snow bound life here. Catching up on the posts and wondering what ya gonna do bbp with the housing? Are you building a new place on the same property? I for one can do without neighbors and their bad habits.
Still amazing how you can keep up with projects Jim...with my neglect on them, I have a lifetime of things to finish here.
Hoping for nice weather...we need to harvest some wild turkeys here!

good morning,
I got side tracked on all projects on Thursday
Annie stopped at a rummage sale and bought me a $14.00 steel tool box. lots of tools inside. I spent most of the afternoon going through it to see what tools I got, besides the ($50.oo value) tool box.

I will send a picture of what is in the top tray. I still have to photo the stuff in the box itself..

Wow! Well worth a delay in the other projects!

I have 5 more trees to get planted today. They are sugar maples and will line the driveway.

Have a great day everyone!

I agree.
way back when our kids were in 4H we ordered a bunch of pine trees.
I tacked on an order of 50 sugar maples for myself..
well, the order came, but it was sent to a different leader than I.
she thought it would be a good thing to donate the maples to HER church..
never consulted with anybody else about it.. I hope she can buy her way into heaven..
