Wisconsin "Cheeseheads"

I use the Premier One solar electric fencing. A lot of the folks farmsteading on YouTube use it too. Super easy to move, and since it is solar, You just need the sun. Makes it easy to rotate grazing.

Thanks BigZ; our previous big dog was a Boxer/Lab out of Clintonville. One of the older Vet techs had an accidental breeding with her sons black lab..... that dog was the best dog we have ever had..... if we could get another cross that would be awesome, but a pure would be fine too. I would never crop the ears, it is too much of a PITA. 😊

change of plans,, decided to extend the new roof all the way across the front of the garage.
Going to Menard's today for some more 2x4's.
Each truss costs $12.oo to build.
I am going to use everything to the right of the small door as green house. In the winter I can store garden tools under the roof.

Sounds like a good plan Jim. I know that I never have enough storage space around here. Everything is kinda tightly packed.
I'm anxious to get the garden in, but the weather says I need to wait another week for sure....way to much work to have to replant once it's all in.

Sorry I have been absent. Have taken off a few days of work and rearranged my scheduled for other days. Been tossing stuff out, shredding papers, running stuff to my daughter in Janesville, trying to organize stuff. etc. Don and I have decided (but not thrilled) that we will set up a tent in his dad's back yard and a pen and coop for my hen and the 5 baby chicks (born March 31st) and dad won't be too upset with 9 cats in the upstairs bedroom. I figure that way I will be able to save more for a down payment and get my credit score up.

Right now Don and I are sitting in the garage drinking beer and watching the finches on the bird feeders.

Good Luck and good for you to figure out the fastest track to a larger savings pile. The banks are really sweating with the unemployment and job future security.

Stay Safe....bigz

I think you have it backwards, bedroom for you, tent for the cats.
Is fil really OK with the cats in the house ?
I don't allow even one cat in my house.

I hope he is ok with it. We choose to be in the tent because FIL is a cranky old SOB, will be 83 in July. It is safer and wiser. I will talk to him tomorrow about what I have found out. I meet 2 of the 3 criteria now for a loan from Cardinal. I had to be over 580 for a score and I was at 619 until I let him check credit. It only dropped 8 pts. He wants me to let him know when I have a 3.5% down payment, suggested family might "gift" me $3200. I only have $1000 and around $500 hidden around the house. That is to go towards closing costs. Will talk to FIL when I take him grocery shopping tomorrow. I did ask loan officer about the Jefferson County Grant I was told about by the loan officer who required a higher score. Have not heard back from him. Guess he might be looking into it and see if I would qualify at my current score. That grant is a much sweeter deal.

Tylor with his chick May 3rd.jpg This is my grandson with his chick on his golden birthday (May 3). This is what I thought was a buff orphington, however the next picture I post will show anything but that.
