Good luck out there, bigzio and ceadar post. Yup, we've had rain for the past two days, makes it rather unpleasant to venture outside with a 3-yr-old. But, our pond is slowly filling back up...thank you for that.

Hi there, Chicken Girl, glad to see you found us! Nice day here, but spent it inside as DS was ill this morning; he's now back to his wound-up self. Many of our neighbors are sick too, keeping the fingers crossed we are missed.

Here I go again with personal stuff but it's just too neat not to share. Thurs. night I recieved a phone call from my deceased mom's cousin. My mom died when I was one and dad remarried when I was 6. I hadn't seen or talked to anyone from mom's side of the fam since 73 just before I went in the army. To make a long story shorter L , I, and my parents are invited to the first annual fam reunion in N In. Dad moved us to central Wi. in 67 so I didn't have much of a chance to spend time with mom's side. It was a long conversation. I have sooo many ?'s Looking forward to the trip! The reunion is on the Tippecanoe river. I'm takin my fishin pole and have been promised a chance to use it.

I have a huge anouncement! It's a new record egg laid this morning 2.778" long by 2.039" in dia.

Got a lot done today with the only dry day in a while and to come. Mustard short ribs marinading for tomorrows game. Pack by 142!

My silly almost 5 year old hen (henny) is broody now. What's she thinking? Sitting on no eggs for days now, with that special look on her face...

You goota love those pretty hens, eh.

Watched Psycho tonight at the vintage theater here in town. If anyone is ever able to see a movie here I strongly suggest it. Everything is restored to what the place looked like in the 30's.

Maybe next year they will show The Rocky Horror Picture Show......

Welcome Chicken Girl! Glad to have new people to "cheeseheads"


We had a great time at the wedding. It was good to see our friends and family. We don't get to see them often.

Spent some time in the pool and the hot tub at the hotel was the HOTTEST I ever have been in. People were complaining about it. I think that they were trying to make soup out of us. Just add a little salt and pepper and some veggies.

Babaylady4-thanks for asking. We're doing better here. We still have little colds and Dh is better. His Dr hasn't called to see him. I did call them the day after to set up an appointment but they said they would have the Dr. review the file and call back. Nothing.
