Those are beautiful birds! Congrats!

For a get-together; if you want to bring birds then a fairground would probably be the best location. Lots of room and parking, buildings and in some cases BBQ pits. Downside is they will want $$ for using the facilities......

Next option would be somebody's house; but I don't know about that because of disease transmission...... anybody who has more experience with this should chime in anytime!

How about Wautoma? I'd have to look but I think there's a fairgrounds there and a really nice looking city park. Don't know about ordinances in the park. Anyone out there with some free time to look it up? If not I'll give it a google. Gonna be a long ride for some folks that's one of the tough parts.

I was thinking it could be bring a dish to pass. I, personally would not bring my birds unless I was selling them to someone. Maybe pictures. My thoughts were just that of babylady4, sickness transmission. It would make things simpliar. Then we could meet at a park and not have any fees.

But maybe we should set a date first. Then decide on a place. I think that's the most logical. That way once the date is set, those who want to bring their birds can say so at that time. Then we can set a place. One that accomidates the birds. I know Waupaca County Fair grounds does. They are in Weyauwega. But I think babylady4 is right. they probably will charge something. If we knew who was coming for sure we could maybe split the cost equily, if it was not too expencive. But we would have to know in advance and probably pay in advance also.

Also-I think that if we were to meet at a park, it shouldn't be a big deal with the birds. As lond as they are in vehicals. We'd have to pick the park and call and ask for sure.

Also- a wayside may be the ticket. I don't think there are any laws there. And most are nice little park like areas. Just no playgrounds and near the hwy. Maybe that's not such a good idea. Maybe just off a small hwy. No interstate.

Wow I stay off for 2 days and you guys are all plans. I work Memorial Day weekend and holiday, so not good for me. But Wautoma isn't bad. Only about 1.5 and all hwy. Looking forward to this. I really want to go to shows this year too, so let me know when they are. Maybe we could all plan on going to a show and then do something after depending on where and when?
Well I'm a sucker for a sad face and even sadder story, We got a new dog! He is a sweety! His name is Tucker and they thinks he's between 2 and 3. The people that owned him before us abandoned him in their apartment when they left and the landlord found him a week later. He has a great personality though. Really good with the kids and other animals. Won't let him by my chickens though. Still don't trust him that much. And I don't think any dog will be as good as my Shelby. I could lock her in the coop with them and she would just sit there. Besides that he is a keeper and will learn all the rules soon.
Well you guys all decide and let me know. I'm pretty flexible with dates. Thats the only weekend I work this summer. Take care!

Good Afternoon....
Wow, that air really has a bite to it today. The hens would come out and feel the wind and turn and run back in. Smart hens eh!

I sent my seed order in to sand hill preservation today. I'm always excited about the gardens and the harvest that follows all the hard work. Trying new things is always alot of fun. They always send a free pack of seeds to try.

I'm getting anxious for Spring. I could handle 3 seasons...spring, summer, and fall!

beckyschicks: sounds like Tucker will be a happy camper. Maybe break him in on leash with the chickens. I'm with fordmommy I'll leave mine at home but will bring lotso pics. Don't want them stressin. BCC they look really soft and shiny! And bigzio your bad naughty! Talking gardens already and gettin me all worked up. I've been rolling around some changes in my mind this year myself. Having that additional one last year and with the weather the way it was it's hard to decide what to change. Things that didn't as well as I had hoped might do better with decent weather. But there will be a few changes none the less. Peas are out broccoli is in. So far. I need a bigger garden, AGAIN!
