Lol, ummm...those duck eggs are pure white - this duck has never been broody before, so I think she's pooped on them quite a few times...

The embryos looked really strong when I candled them though, so we'll see!

Most ducks will start laying at between 4 and 7 months...so, those Pekins could still start in the next month or two! If she doesn't provide any artificial light though, they may not start this late in the year - I wouldn't really expect to see any eggs until spring.

And I have 7 of those Runners yet that I'm raising up to add to my flock - I'm taking pictures of all the birds today; it's so bright and sunny out! So I'll post some pictures of mine later this afternoon!

I'm only planning on keeping 4 of those Runners, so I'll have three up for grabs in a month or so...

I'll take more, we decided to make it raised.... don't know if it is a good idea..... but well see. if it don't work then I guess we cut off the legs. Annarie how r u gonna keep the MESS out of the house area?? I was hoping to put the food and waterer under the coop in the summer but not sure for the winter

had to go Menards yesterday to get plywood for the duck coop...... on the way home we ran into HAIL and major rain, we were driving like 25 and couldnt see a thing out the windshield. and the idiot infront of us didn't have his lights on.... we could even see him. I don't think he could turn his lights on cause finnally he turned his hazzards on. Then there was a tree down in the road that we had to go around. and this HUGE beautiful rainbow. which reminds me that God promised not to flood the Earth again but I dunno.... we're getting close. The river here is as high as in the spring.

Have a good day everyone!!

We used a 90 angel but have the whole thing set a little kittyuwampus so that the feed tube and trough are a alittle bit of an angle (the feed pipe extends farther out of the coop and then angles back at the top... does that make any sense?). We've never had a issue with flow using crumbles.

do you have to use your hand to push feed to the end?? Or does it just flow all the way to the end of the "trough"?

Totally agree my pvc feeder flow down SUCKS!! Even with the crumbles.

I think my chickens heads are to big for the pvc feeder the combs get beat up trying to reach in there.

Big thanks to buck creek for testing my flock on short noitice.
