Wisconsin "Cheeseheads"

Babylady I was amazed the amount of call ducks that were sold off of that refferal link. I got a nice commisson check a while back.

Thank you so much for using the link. I took the call duck page down until next year because it is not a breed that I actually will be able to take orders for myself, but if they keep up the refferal commission relationship I will start that again in the spring.

Do you think you could send me a photo of your calls that I could use on the website?

Good morning everyone! BCC you didn't do anything it was just that I found your post about "WCW they call me BCC" hilarious. Guess you had to be there. Hate to even look in the rain gauge this morning. About 11:15 last night it was really comin down. Have to get my dishes finished this morning then out to the garage and get my big saw running again. Must not have gotten all the dirt out of the carb begining to think it might need a diaphram. And I should get the boat finished up and ready to use also. Talk later. Enjoy!

Tyler, no problem. As soon as they are mature I will gladly send a photo.

Ugh, I can't seem to wake up this morning!!!!

Better hit the java........

With all the ran last night we had a few minnow casualties laying aound in the yard; thankfully the ducks do not give a rip if they swim or not. Food is food! Looks like we ended up with a little less than 1/2 an inch of rain here.

Later!

Ok, its been a rough 2 1/2 weeks I've been testing for fair, all most every day, I think I've seen just about all of Winnebago county, plus some of the surrounding ones. I'm testing today in menasha. ( I like BCC too)

I thought I had that day off today so I slept in...then I was cutting up some breakfast for the parrots and OH NO! I have to cook at Trinity Pines today!!! I have to make pie crust 'cause I didnt do it last night....of course I was really sleepy from staying in bed late (and up late too) so I needed coffee and then I HAD to read what was on here...oh brother--I have to get moving!
FBG--that site was amazing! I want to go and live there. How in the world does someone get enough $$$ to form a place like that? Stuff must be really cheap in TN! All I know is that the people there are really nice and friendly. That is my dream right there on that website...and their dogs are gorgeous! You are just lucky that they werent Border Collies 'cause I would be in my car and heading down!

OK--enough talk...I gotta make pie! Terri O

Morning to all, the Outagamie fair starts today. I've got a young gal from our 4-H club taking a columbian wyandotte roo that she fell in love with last summer. She lives in town and can't have chickens. Looks like the weather is going to finally cool off a few degrees.

I'm heading up north to Clam Lake this weekend to do some bear baiting and catch a few fish. Mike

CP your making the itch I've got worse, which is a good thing. Thanks! TO I crawled into bed at 7:30 last night and L said I was snoring within minutes. Woke up just before 5. Guess I was tired. She had to put the kids to bed and that's a whole different thing. Her rapport is totally different with them than mine. Guess all the older girls came running off the roost to greet her as soon as she walked out the door. Before I forget again BCC how long before I can taste test the pickled banana peppers? I really want to! With all the canning the smell of vinegar makes me salivate. I need a fix. Sounds like your running your hinder off. Hopefully you'll get a break soon.

Got an inch here last night, afraid to go outside.

Good morning and
welcome-byc.gif
to all the new people! Rained here last night or early this am-about 2:30 am the time the youngest DS crawled into bed by me.

Our Welsummer eggs are on their way to us, hopefully tomorrow they will arrive
fl.gif
. They are coming from SFIcelandics in Hudson WI-he has pictures posted on the Welsummer forum and was very generous with the extras! DD is all excited so we started the bator this am but will need to make a few adjustments when we get home later today.

DrH, I understand your itching to try your canning-DH was eyeing up the pickled onions and I told him he had to wait yet
lau.gif
of course might have to find some more onion sets and replant so we can make more.

Guess break time is over and back to cleaning another unit.

Talk about being afraid to go outside!!! HOLY skeeters!! which reminds me DrH what were u talking about what did you see? Hose down the chickens WHY? I'm sooooo confussed!
DH is home again, no work, this is the 3rd week of working 20 hours then sitting home. ARRRGGGGG! well I guess the duck coop will get done. Thankfully its being built out of mainly scrap stuff! Well off to do job searches for my DH!

I haven't had many run-ins with mosquitos this year but the GNATS! They swarm your face and fly up your nose and in your eyes- my husband and daughter thought I was having some sort of temper tantrum when they looked out the window and saw me running around waving my arms and swatting my face.

I'm In SW WI and we've had the rain but fortunately no more recent flooding- my thoughts and prayers are with you that have. Of course, a few weeks back when we were getting ready to leave for GA., we had a big flood that nearly took out two side of my chicken run and packed it full of debris. Yikes.

Haven't started canning here either (we did peach preserves and pickles when in GA but I had my mother-in-law to guide me), but I'm eager to- I'm still a novice so it takes me a long time to figure out what the heck my goal is.
