I Hope to get it out First week of January. Sure am glad I put an addition on the coop this fall, or we would be screwed...lol. May build a separate Bantam coop, we shall see.
The weather has been Awesome, got to love thawed water in the dishes and waterers in the mornings.
Hope everyone stays safe this Christmas if your traveling. Hopefully this weather will hold through the weekend so I can get some more firewood cut. Merry Christmas everyone!!!

Had to post this. Made me think of everyone who is having trouble right now. Was at Wal-mart, getting supplies and while checking out, I had a young couple, I mean young like 19/20ish. Of course as I age everyone looks young. But anyway, they had a small boy with them, maybe 8 or 9 months and they were using WIC. Now for those who don't know they are paper slips that have the certain things on them that you can get. Now the couple looked, well defeated. Almost sad. Everything has to be rung up seperate too. So they were taking awhile and my girls were playing with all the aisle toys, actually being good. Well the woman behind me was sighing. Making grumbling noises about trash and darn kids shouldn't have kids. Stuff like that. Well I was a kid when I had my first at 21, so I turned to her and gave her the look of death. She was quiet for a moment and then continued. Now the dad started to shift around, looking uncomfortable. The mom was scrambling to get it all in order so it would go faster. Then she looked at me, "Take your time. I'm in no hurry" I said. "I'm really sorry this is taking to much time." she said "Don't worry about it. You have to eat right?" "Life is full of stupid, inconciderate people, don't worry about them." then I turned to the women behind me and said "Pray that you NEVER have to switch places with them. That your life will always be easy and full of rainbows. Because heaven knows you wouldn't want someone giving you a hard time." By then they were done and I put my stuff on the line. The mother said thanks when she left. Made me feel better even if it ticked the woman off behind me. I was thinking of making everything a seperate transaction just to piss her off some more but I didn't. My girls were done being good. I guess it just makes you realize that life is a test, either you fail or pass. Hopefully you pass and can walk away knowing you tried your best. To all that are just making, remember all you have to do is make it. The time will come when you can have more, but until them keep your head up.

Good evening! Got one DD from college and DH is home...they all went out for prime rib tonight...AAHHH--the house is still mine, all MINE! Maybe I will finish my Christmas cards!

Amyable can you bring that baby over so I can smooch his cheeks? OMG--he is just adorable! I had to laugh too--he looked like he was going to jump right out at me on my screen. I miss having little ones underfoot at this time of year...I just jumped down the screen to look at him again and Becky's dogs greeted me in their Christmas headgear!

Too much! In the first pic the dog in the back looks like he is saying, "I know it is my turn next, I might as well just sit here and wait!" Way funny! I just wish I could get my dogs to sit still enough to take a pic...maybe next year I will have my baby parrot and I can put some antlers on it! Now THAT would be cute!

Had a busy day. It thawed out enough to get all the coops cleaned. Man what a relief!! Had our first meeting for Hunters Ed last night. We are going to try and keep the class around 75 students this year. last year it was around 90. How bout all this snow

plowed for a few hours today. I see some people are ordering chicks and getting orders together. Beckys chicks cute dogs!! I'm thinkin about grabing the chainsaw and cutting some wood in the next while. We don't burn wood but I try and cut some every year for the firepit, we burn alot in the summer months .

Special Evening here on the Hill.... While I was out grilling some Venzun burgers just now, I saw a tiny light coming up the driveway on the hill in front.... here comes two of the neighbor Amish kids one riding the little pony, and the young girl being pulled, riding a sled behind. I said to them, i see you brought the pony over... yep he said, while his younger sister delivered a fresh apple pie and ho-made chritmas card... thankin me for the squash I shared with them this year. I told them they really didn't need to do this.....they said, yep I know but we wanted too! Talk about make your day!
I can just see her holding the pie with care, while the mile ride I'm sure had it's special moments of holding it with care.... I had to thank the Creator once again for my many blessings. It usually comes in small important doses. Seems like he likes to break off a piece to share and make me aware he is there.
DA, a local breeder just up the road by Pulaski has Delawares. He sells his Day olds very reasonable. You could even check out his flock, to see if that's what you are looking for.....just a thought.

BC, you are good person; thank you. I remember getting those 'looks' myself with my oldest DD, and I was 21! Everyone thought she was my younger sisters kid!

Any of you; if you are in need of anything let us know! I bet there are people on here that are close by who can give you a helping hand! I know I have an overload of toys and clothing that no longer get played with or fit the kids, I would rather give them to somebody on here before dragging them off to Goodwill!

Off for the next week!!!!!

Going to bake tomorrow and just get prepared for Chirstmas.
