Wisconsin "Cheeseheads"

WOW H&R sounds like a week from H E double hockey sticks. Yup started snowing here about 5 min. ago. I'm supposed to be cleaning the house cause L went to Wausau yesterday to work and down to the ret home this morning then to do laundry. But I've been formulating the plumbing schematic. Should find time to clean it's just shake rugs, sweep, and vacuum. Already did the cat boxes, dishes, and chickens. Dang it bl4 now I want pineapple right side up cake. I don't bother flippin it, it tastes the same.

Snowy Sunday Early Afternoon. We are in the 12" dumping zone here...

Gonna watch the race too. Picked up some bottle beer for the afternoon. Won't be driving anywhere today so it's party time!

Proud of you walking away Jim. I knew you could do it! I called Dave yesterday, we had a nice talk. Sounds like he will be able to make the bash this year too. Said he would hatch some javas for me if I wanted him to. He is going to be hatching Delawares, and is really pleased with their constant laying, and quick to grow into nice meat birds.

Jim I have 3 buckeye roo's in with the hens. Getting prolly 10 eggs a day. To early for peeps for me. If you would like some buckeye eggs let me know.

Coming down good now. Is it Spring yet?

Later.... ~ bigzio

Know what you mean, some of the stuff that gets posted is so wrong and winny, that you want to crawl through the Internet and knock some sense into them, I have to walk away so I don't get busted. for some reason lockdown and shrink wrapped really gets to me

finally started snowing here about 20 minutes ago..

Annie just got back from town, and just gave me time enough to go throw a tarp over the tractor..

BigZ, I got an email from Dave today.. I answered it .. I told him that I would take 28 dozen Java and Del eggs whenever he can save that many.. maybe when I go to pick them up I can swing off the highway and pick up some of your buckeyes.. I will let you know if and when this will all take place.. I could hatch some Java's for you, too..

Annie brought home a 37 inch Northern from her nephew.. I was going to clean it for supper, but it is frozen solid.. I hate cleaning frozen fish.. so Annie just threw a chicken into the oven instead.. (a dead one) LOL

I'm getting hungry for hamburgers on the grill.. maybe I will make some ho-made buns this afternoon.. as long as the oven is going anyhow.. "eh?"

BCC, lock down, shrink wrap.. LOL take that !!!
I would like to know where this extra "thick membrane" comes from...

Annie says that the Del hens are the only ones who peck her when she is stealing their eggs..

Got a bunch of ice rain this morning, now have an inch of slush on everything, but no snow at this point. Will have to go look at the forecast, don't know if we're supposed to get snow or not.

Got the darkest of my Blue/Black/Splash/Cuckoo +/- silver/gold Marans eggs in the incubator cooking. Selecting the darkest to work on improving the color as well as to provide the next generation for the flock.

I'll have lavender Ameraucana eggs coming the beginning of March and hopefully some splits for Blue/Black/Splash Silkied Ameraucanas to fill the incubator. Can't wait. Really love those little birds.

My chicks from new years are getting quite full of themselves and are spoiled rotten, hanging out in the basement until it warms up. The blue Ameraucana and her black brother think it's fun to ride on the shoulder while I'm changing out their water. Brats.

Hope all goes well for everyone and hoping for a quick return to that fine weather we had earlier.

BCC, congrats of the new chicks !!! did you have them in lock down very long?? were any of them shrink wrapped ? LOL

I just took the hamburger buns out of the oven.. Now I have to make a batch of sloppy Joe's.......

we have about 4" of new snow and it is still snowing hard..

I'm glad, it doesn't hardly pay to start up the tractor for just one inch..

Good evening I saw some wonderful snow earlier today...you could HEAR it falling! But now for most of the day it has been RAIN! Cant wait how it will be tomorrow to go to work! Ha HA--Just had a call from a client that wants me to come tonight if her regular cant come...I told her I would rather NOT!
DH took DS to school in Milw. and said it was white knuckle driving all the way and lots of cars int he ditch! Since his roll-over accident 2 years ago he has turned into a much more timid driver...cant say I mind! I certainly would rather stay home tonight...plus I made a big batch of caramel popcorn--gotta eat it!
H&R--your week sounds HORRIBLE!~DH always wanted to get properties to manage...I saw ALL our weeks looking like yours so I said a definite NO! I could not imagine doing all that repair! He wanted to get in with his brother...

OK--the bator fan is (finally) in along with the turner and it is ON! Now I need to dry it out and get the high temp set according to Jim (am I right Jim?) THen tomorrow of the next day I can set the eggs? (tape the seams) I have a bunch here on the counter that I have been faithfully rotating....
Gotta figure out some thing we can eat for dinner...nighty night! Terri O
