Cindlady That is a NICE building. I love it. Oh how lucky you were to find a house that already had a chicken coop !!!!! All our property had for an extra building was a single car garage with a tiny chicken coop attached. We don't use the coop for coop since we put up horse fence. Plus it is to far away and the run area is filled with tons of weeds and old chicken wire etc. AND SNAKES live around there. We store our hay in the little garage and often the snakes will be hanging out on the warm hay !!!! Yuk !!! HELP GUINEAS I NEED HELP !!!
If I were to do it all over again I would have looked for an old farm with tons of outbuildings !!!! So far we've built 2 horse shelters (Very nice heavy duty to HELP Prevent injuries)1 donkey shelter(which is now used for the ducks) 2 chicken coops, one greenhouse. One huge Pole building could have housed it all except of course the greenhouse. We got free windows from the neighbor & off Craigs list for the Greenhouse. We copied the neighbors design for the greenhouse !!! SssshhhhhhHHHHH don't tell anybody !!!

Glad to hear that Duke is doing better. It is so hard when they get old. We tend to forget that they get old like the rest of us, why does it have to be so quick. Do you have central air? Reason I ask is cause I have arthritis and with the air on (set at 71) I am aching all over. Plus my neck (arthritis) is killing me, pain up my jaw and everything. Nipping on wine, aspirin nothing seems to help. So last night I turned the air up to 75 and wrapped a towel around my neck. Feels better today. (And I made sure ET was asleep before I wrapped the towel, so he didn't get any ideas)

Maybe some warm compresses on his ears would help? Can't hurt. Sending good vibes to Duke

Hope you didn't throw out all of the hostas you dug up ????

I love Hostas. I have several different kinds but they aren't big enough to divide yet. I had even more but they didn't survive the move up here from Racine. Would have helped if I would haved planted them from the pots they were in. The olde types seem to be alot hardier and I have grown them in pots and they overwinter well in the pots. Not the more expensive ones.

Just picked up two new ones at the Walmart in Rhinelander's clearance section. One is called "striptease" and the other one "Earth Angel".

Whew driveway is done until we get it packed by driving on it then maybe drag it to level it some more. FT have to ask do you take fish oil? It really really helps with my arthritis! I was amazed!

When I went out to split wood the other day uncovered 2 red bellys or grass snakes and on my way out saw a huge Garter snake. Blondie was right behind me cause she's a pain in the butt and really likes the grubs I uncover while splitting. She killed and ate one of the grass snakes. TO if you do that you have to post pics! That would be cool! Heading out to the DD and her beau's new place takin salad fixins. Asked her if they liked salad last night and she said yes but they didn't have any dressing or croutons so dear ol dad and his faithful side kick are takin fresh pea pods, brocolli, carrots, lettuces, and onions. Had to buy a cuc, and grn pepper. I love havin a garden! Cherry maters should start to ripen in about a week. Takin eggs for em too! Gotta get some lunch and get a move on!

Just thought I would share this website for anyone that is into looking for stuff. JIM and anybody else. It is www.mwt.net It is Midwest Telephones website. Click on bulletin board on the top of page. You can find almost anything on this board !! It's were I found my first horse. Most of the posters are of course from the Western part of the state.

Have fun !!

Dang Nice Afternoon. Thanks for the help in regards to my injured roo's eye. I have some amoxicillin and seline solution. He is so gentle to pick up and handle. He took the dose of amoxi better than the cats do. Good rinse of the eye....more doses to follow. Sure hope he dosen't lose the eye.

Thanks for the duck offer FT. Need more housing for sure. Good thing I'm not handy like chucky....I'd be in big trouble with chicken math. Suzie says you have stop showing all those cute pics!

Salad sounds great Doc. I love my gardens too!

Chicken on the grill tonight. I prefer to make it indirect. Takes prolly a couple hours when it's cut-up. Sparegoose, with mushrooms, onions and topped with pepperjack cheese....tasty!

Great afternoon for getting things done outside.

Amyable and Julie came over to get some hay just a bit ago, and Julie brought someone over for a playdate!

It's the sisters, Stefi and Willow. The picked up like they haven't been apart, and walked around pecking at things and took a little swim. I just love Willow's coloring.

Good work BL4 and fam!
