good morning,, got up at 5am.. started the coffee. didn't get the pot in place in time so had a cup all over the counter..

took what little gas I had in the can and went to the garden and started the tiller.. did a row and a half and ran out of gas.. I thought I had more than a cup full left, honest.. Oh well, the garden was too wet to till anyway..

Looks like the township is not going to do anything about the non-ditch along my property.. I guess it is up to me to take a plow and make a dead furrow.. the neighbor down the hill from me will not be too happy about that, but I am not the one who did not put a mandatory culvert under his new driveway..

they are replacing the road surface past our properties and now would be the ime to install that culvert.. I told the work crew about it, and they said they would pass it along to their supervisor.. Yeah, right.. that conversation was forgotten as soon as they jumped back into their trucks. LOL

some hill billies caught a theif one time.. they stripped him naked and tied him to a tree.. told him that they were going to set him free in an hour or so.. He thought," kind of embarrasing, but not really too bad of a punishment".. until they turned the calf loose and told him that it was not fed yet today..

speaking of hillbillies.. FT. I saw on the news that someone poked a couple of extra holes into somebody else's body in Nashville.. Tough neighborhood.. anybody close by you?

I feel like going back to bed.. Oh, nothing got in by the turkey poults last night.. Maybe that hole I fixed was the entrance. too soon to relax, yet..

the peacock made some noises this morning. Not such a bad noise,, but it is diffenent sounding than anything else I have around here..

It's raining and storming this morning! I don't know if I should be happy or sad! If we get sun later it's gonna be awfully humid.

CC-Ooo! Oooo! Oooo! I know where the Third Eye is! I had a friend in high school whose mom was into tarot cars, astrophysics, star charts and stuff. So, your Third Eye or inner eye is located in your forehead. Right between your eye brows right in the middle. It's job is to allow you to "see" other plains of existence and higher levels of consciousness.

WCc-I'm impressed! Milking a goat! Never done that but I did milk a cow once. That was exciting. I'm glad they caught those thieves. I hope that they throw the book at them.

Jim-hope your dentist can fix the problem quickly so that your pain goes away and that your mouth can heal.

This is an FYI and I don't mean to offend anyone in anyway but I wanted to share some info with you guys because it helped me when I needed some dental work really bad but could not afford it out if pocket. I use it at my vets office and my dental office.
So for all of you who don't have dental insurance or have a lot of animals like me but are are on budget with their care, there is a company that you might want to check out. It is called CareCredit. It is a credit card through GE Money though. They have a number of plans and some of them are no interest for a specified amount of time, and (IMO) the payments are reasonable.

DH called this a.m. and said the girls were as horrid as ever last night in Chicago, then after he went to bed (they had a seperate room) they went downstairs and charged snacks to his room! He didn't even get up to take them to airport as there was a shuttle to the airport which was only 5 minutes away and he told them "Make sure you get up and BE on it!" Oh yeah, momma wants some quality time alright, just not with me!

Think she may be sorry she invited us out to dinner as she's likey to get that serious talk she was whinning about the other day!

CC I'm amazed you don't want your 3rd eye to throb! What a party pooper!!

BBP OUCH! Obviously you survived the night, thank goodness! Love your plans for the thieves should they return... and if they do you know we will be anxious to see the photos!

Sounds like it is drizzling out now, yup, very, very lightly... just hope it picks up a bit and continues for 3 or 4 hours so the ground gets a good soaking, or course Murphy would probably prefer it move on quickly since he won't go out in the rain. I tossed him out the door to potty this morning and no sooner got up the stairs than the thunder cracked. I ran back down and he flew in the house! Poor boy, don't think he made it off the patio!

DH won't be back til about 3 or 4 this afternoon. The next arriving house guest doesn't arrive until nearly 1:00. All I have to do today is finish up laundry ... speaking of which... where does one buy those T bar clothes line poles? I prefer to hang my clothes out and don't know where to find them. Need to pick up a newspaper and look for a job, have to call a place that's had my ap for over a week now, at last check they were still checking my references, but I can't wait forever! Then a bit of grocery shopping

I HATE shopping unless its for plants.
*Sigh* looks like the rain is going to miss us again

Hope the Dentist fixes your toof Jim. Sounds like a free office call, eh! He wouldn't charge for the screw up, would he? You get a discount for cleanings if you only have one toof don't you?

Tilled the squash garden for the last time prolly. It's really spreading out now. Didn't my dill seeds work for you Doc?

My one buckeye roo definitly lost his sight in the one eye. Hate to have to butcher the nice ones. The mean ones taste best.

My buckeye cockerals are really starting to look nice. I've been feeding game bird grower with the higher protein. Makes a world of difference for the breeds with game in them.

Very nice pic. What's the prize? Also, I'm sorely tempted by the last of your chicks. All pullets, correct? Were they a totally random assortment, or in some kind of category (brown egg layers, large breeds, etc)? Just remembering my last random order, 12 of 29 were Polish.

Have some chicks hatching today under a couple broodies. 2 out so far 6 eggs left.

Amyable- They were an all female assortment. I *think* I know the breeds but it's just guesses. I believe there is 1 Buff Orpington, 1 Golden Comet, 2 Black Sex-links, 2 Australorps, 1 Jersey Giant. Some were hatched on 07/06 and the others were a week later because they were the new ones they sent to replace the ones that died.
